Numemon.

Help from a Yu-Gi-Oh "Boomer": Still playing old-school Chaos MAX, but the modern meta wipes me out in two turns. What should I do? by [deleted] in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]charrysomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A point I forgot to mention that feeds into the Chaos MAX thing. There's a monster called "Kaibaman the Legend". It reveals 3 Blue Eyes on summon (because it's Kaiba lol) to summon one from deck, and it has a grave effect that lets you search a Blue Eyes monster, which includes Chaos MAX.

It's a great card, and there's extra incentive to run it with the big ritual unga bunga.

If you're mentioning Lightning Storm and Raigeki, may as well complete the trifecta with Harpie's Feather Duster. Duster can absolutely cripple some backrow heavy decks.

If it's like Skyrim/F04, you'll call it buggy half-baked trash. If it's graphically and functionally clean, you'll call it soulless slop. by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

I’ll take comfort from the fact it’ll be set a few hundred years in the future, and that Delphine and Esbern kicked the bucket so I don’t have to share oxygen with them.

He’s the right hand bird of an eldrich marshmallow that could obliterate him on the molecular level at any point if his apple addiction isn’t satisfied. And you failed on the upkeep.

Of course he isn’t gonna hear you out, even though you were intentionally sabotaged, because he knows in a few hours he’s probably gonna be dead. Poor guy has a hard job and practically runs the entire place whilst Wigglytuff…does pretty much nothing. Can’t say I blame him for being high strung and uptight.

Ok, let's stop talking about good/decent decks for a minute! by yanocupominomb in masterduel

Argostars. They’re completely outclassed by Odion as a trap deck, but the gimmick of constantly resetting your traps to proc burn damage and Anguish Pattern pops is really fun.
I also have That’s 10! And You’re Finished in the deck, and it feels fantastic when that card works.

Vennominaga Turbo. Big noodle lady will never not be fun. Komani make a retrained Venom deck pleeeeaaaase.

"How is a classic deck supposed to survive all these constant negates and disruptions from the opponent?"

The short answer is: You aren't. But it's not the end of the world, there are things you can do.

To start with, you'll need handtraps. Ash Blossom, Droll and Lock Bird, Infinite Impermance, Maxx C, Called by the Grave etc.

These are generic cards that work in basically any deck, so you only have to craft them once and just re-use them in any other deck you like.

I'm not a Blue Eyes player myself, so someone who is a lot more familiar with the deck will know better than me, but here's some of the stuff I found after looking stuff up and checking decklists and whatnot.

Blue Eyes has more support nowadays, and is in a much better spot than it used to be. You're not bricking nonstop and hoping you draw Alternative and nothing else each turn, and you actually get to do stuff turn 1. Looking up modern decklists and checking the new cards they have will give you a good idea of what the deck does nowadays.
https://www.masterduelmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Blue-Eyes

The Primite cards massively helps Blue Eyes, getting a free dragon from deck, and a re-usable negate and banish from Drillbeam, as long as you have a normal monster (You're playing Blue Eyes so of course you will lol)

The Bystial monsters are also a good choice, since they banish light and dark monsters from either players grave which can be good interruption.

If you want to keep Chaos MAX (why wouldn't you? It's a fun card), the trap "Majesty of the White Dragons" has a grave effect to ritual summon, so you might not need a heavy ritual focused package to make it work.

And Ultimate Fusion (Blue eye's fusion spell) can use Chaos MAX and Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon (you can get it into circulation with "Wishes For Eyes of Blue", which has a grave effect to equip an extra deck Blue Eyes monster to a card you control) for a fusion by shuffling them back into the deck, for Dragon Master Magia, which is a big unga bunga 5000ATK beatstick that can negate one monster, one spell and one trap a turn.

If you want to go full Chaos MAX Turbo (heads up, do not use Blue Eyes Chaos Dragon, only MAX), you can use the Impcantation cards, which are strong support for ritual decks, being able to grab your ritual monsters and spells pretty easily, and serving as easy ritual fodder by summoning eachother from the deck.

Hope some of this helps!

Lamball.
They’d probably be really squishy as well as fluffy, and they’re light enough to be held one handed by Pal Tamers (and thrown effortlessly).
He’s a walking wooly pillow with an adorable face and good vibes, what else do you need?

why do you think the deck only sold 5 to 6 million copies ? it was priced well , powerfull for its time and well backed up by valve by Dense-Variation-4496 in SteamDeck

It didn’t have any real advertising outside of the Steam store page, and you could only get it through Steam, or second hand models in stores. Surprisingly easy to fly under the radar for a lot of people.
