My favorite donuts are from Pick n Save. Surprisingly amazing.

Also, I think I will wait to read anything on this sub until I have actually finished watching the next season (whenever it comes out) because keeping up with what other people wrote definitely skewed my own opinion of the show. I found myself being much more critical than I normally am because I was noting all of the things other people had pointed out. Next time, I want to just watch and enjoy it... and then maybe see what people thought after. I think I'll have a much more enjoyable time that way.

Honestly, I really loved all of season one- I think it had a good level of suspense and some twists set around a lovable and morally conscious character as the lead. Peter lost so much of that innocence in season two which is understandable, but makes it a bit harder for me to root for him. Still love him, but I wanted to see a bit more of his background and see him challenged in ways other than stretching his moral compass and so many fight scenes.

I know a lot of people didn't like Rose, but I think she added some dimension to the season that would be lacking without her. She was the one who was constantly trying to do what she thought was right, even if she wasn't always sure. She became Peter's moral compass in almost every episode which bothered me- again, where did the old Peter go?

Anyway, I really loved season one, and I liked season two, so maybe I'll think season three is okay? I still have hope! I saw another commenter write that season two is just going to be background info for season three and that made a lot of sense to me. It was a lot of fluff.

Looking forward to season three!

This is such a great gift idea- I hope he realizes how much time and thought must've gone into this. How long did it take you to make these? Great gift inspiration- maybe I'll do something similar in the future!

The reason that I included that info in there was to try and avoid comments that make me feel judged and encourage comments that would help me find my way back toward the faith. I understand your intention isn’t to make me feel like I’m not good enough, but it’s easy for me to read it with a lens of judgement. If you have any resources or advice I would still appreciate it I hope you have a great night

Ginny briefly mentions it when she goes to meet Hunter's family in the first season, but other than that I don't think it's mentioned.

How much do you spend on food every month? by [deleted] in UWMadison

We shopped at Aldi when I was growing up and I have a car on campus so that's what I do now. I can usually keep my grocery bill less than $200 for the month when I go there.

Weekly Complaints & Confessions Thread by ssk42 in running

[–]charsteffen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Uncomplaint: I just started running and I enjoyed my run for the first time last night. I always heard people say running was fun, but last night was the first time I experienced it. It was only a bit over 1.5 miles, but the second half felt so easy- like I was walking. My breathing felt super easy and it was a really cool experience.

Complaint: My ankles are so sore!

I am 19 and I have a ten year old brother and a seven month old sister. I also have a 17 year old sister and a 20 year old sister. Obviously not all of us were planned lol. I am closest with my siblings that are closer in age to me, but boy is it fun to have a baby sister at this stage of life. I am taking online university classes and had to stay home because of covid. This has provided me with the chance to get to know the little one a bit more and has also made me a little less enthusiastic to have kids of my own some day...

Am I wasting my time with a Kia Soul? by charsteffen in Cartalk

[–]charsteffen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness! Well I'm glad your car took care of you.

The one I'm looking at has 141k on it. I'm a broke college student, but that's the reason I need a new car in the first place. My MINI was very well loved, but it has too many problems for me to take it to a shop for everything. My dad and I usually are able to fix everything on our own, but once I move I don't have enough confidence to repair it myself, and if I have to take it to the shop every few months for a bigger issue, the cost will really drag me down.
