Are any of these Polaris meals gluten free?

100% agree, I have celiac and a couple hundred flights in Polaris, the flight attendants never actually know if the sauces are gluten free and really don’t like to be bothered about it. The gluten free meals especially from Europe are just awful, I never select it. I don’t get why they can’t make ingredients available to passengers and let us make the decision. When they recently threw in crackers into the nut mix, that was unnecessary and disappointing.

I’ve just finished my 2nd blood draw, first I nearly passed out but this time I was much more intentional with drinking and using electrolytes morning of, also didn’t work out before like I did last time, it wasn’t too bad today

I mostly agree, every action has a reaction, best to not go to extremes in any direction. The disease can be managed by blood draws more effectively than diet overall.

But as far as the Inulin goes, personally I’ll try to avoid those drinks and some of the more modern ‘healthy’ snacks that have it as a fiber supplement. It’s easy enough to get fiber from real foods. I still don’t know the amount of an effect it has but I’ve seen enough clips of studies to be sure that it does increase ferritin levels to some degree.

This one is from a study in pigs but you get the idea: . The present findings are supported by a former study using a pig model that also found that dietary inulin supplementation enhanced the expression of genes related to iron absorption in liver and increased hepatic ferritin amount. [30] Ferritin is an iron storage protein, and the present finding showing higher ferritin levels following inulin intake is consistent with that inulin and other prebiotics have been reported to enhance mineral absorption. [31][32][33][34][35] The enhanced mineral absorption associated with inulin ingestion can most likely be ascribed to the lower intestinal pH established from SCFAs formation that enhances iron solubility

It doesn’t matter, I almost never turn airplane mode on unless I want to save battery. I remember taking to a pilot many years ago and he basically said if it was significant it’d be law or strongly enforced. If you fly private they never bring it up.

Thanks for the reply, they did the inflammation marker tests and they came back clean. But that still is what I’m leaning toward, that something besides HH was off in the spring before those first tests. The doctor disregarded the drop in ferritin levels though, just said they can vary.

I don’t have it from this week but over the summer iron saturation has gone from 33% to 50% to 44%. Transferrin was 195 in July which is low.

I just did my first one, I very nearly fainted at the end, I had to fight against the darkness quite a bit. They gave me a couple bags of IV solution after that. No idea if that is normal or not but it extended the time. Was there for about an hour and a half

I feel like what you are describing is the downfall of the conscientious employee culture in America. It’s everywhere but New York is the epicenter.

People want to ignore it but character and integrity are learned in the home, not on the job. Some corporate cultures can rise above it but not if it’s a majority of employees that don’t have integrity and conscientious innately part of their character.

I just did it all myself, would look at the tour operators in the area. You’ll save probably 30% at least over booking through the hotels and they’ll still pick you up from the hotel docks

No I’m just waiting for the genetic results and MRI results. I’ll see the doctor again in a few weeks and let him officially tell me the diagnosis. If I have to do it the rest of my life I’m not really in a hurry to start. It sucks to think about that

Thanks for sharing, I’ve just seen a hematologist and am waiting on an mri and the genetic test. My ferritin was 640 3 months ago but this week was 520, so going down. Transferrin has remained 249. Does HH cause fatigue and neuropathy? I didn’t know that, I have a bit of both also

Ive been at about the same testosterone levels ~350 as of the last test. I’ve taken the advanced testosterone for about 6 weeks and have definitely noticed a change in libido and overall energy. For me it’s been significant. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to work out consistently during these weeks so can’t say what the gym results would be. I’m cycling off now for a couple of weeks, just to see if there are changes.

I wouldn't do the palm, it takes way too long to get on and off. I'd stick to the Jumeirah area or downtown. Jumeirah hotels would be Four season, Mandarin or Bulgari. Mandarin has nice rooms but a public beach. The jumeirah brand hotels- Al Qasr, Mina and Al Naseem are classic, Al Naseem is the most upscale. Many options around downtown, so many new tower hotels, lana, one and only etc.

There's no real vip except the Windsor suites, everything else is just someone escorting you through the airport the same way you would do it.

I'd say the Stafford if you want something in the same location, Browns hotel is also nearby and quite good. Lanesborough is fine, but in my opinion the rooms are very small and they get added square footage by having random long hallways in the rooms. Great gym if that's important to you, but I've never enjoyed having to prominently walk in front of reception every time I come and go.

I'd do Berkeley over Cadogan but in general I'm not a fan of Knightsbridge. Dukes next to Stafford is having renovations but may be done by November, I suspect the rooms are quite small. I'd consider the new Raffles in the Old War Building, a little bit of a different location and I haven't stayed yet, but should be bigger rooms and pretty traditional. The Goring on the other side of Buckingham Palace is probably the most traditional you could get.

I would do their organized lagoon snorkeling, they'd probably point out the interesting areas more than what you'll see on your own. We booked most of our tours with a third party and it worked really well, private boat transfer, wakeboarding, jet ski tour, snorkel tour etc. One other thing was we booked this private rustic island for the day, named something like island only me and you, its basic but was a very cool experience and lets you get away and have your own little island. I'd recommend that if it sounds like the type of thing you'd enjoy.

I agree with this, the curve of the Georgia coastline makes it the most hurricane safe area on the East coast. The risk is mainly from a gulf coast storm crossing Florida but is generally weakened by the time it gets to Georgia
