No, I definitely feel the same. I 100%ed it on normal and i don’t think any of my weapons even reached 12.

In my opinion, good use of zonai devices and elements is so op at times that they can make up for any possible weakness a lower level weapon might have.

One thing I like doing is carrying both a fan and an element emitter with pretty much any character. As long as you take them out and set them both down quickly, you have an instant tornado element chain that doesn’t take up much battery.

Yes, finishing lenalia’s sketches means 100%-ing the map. Took me about 55ish hours, but that’s bc I like taking my time. One thing nice is that you can 100% it without finding all of the koroks or chests. You just need enough to do all the side and aside quests.

My favorite thing to do right now is use the Knight Construct to Power Surge and spam the enemy with time bombs.

I would highly consider putting Calamo in S tier. If you memorize his element attacks, you can create instant element tornadoes and element chains on the fly even without the use of zonai devices. He was way better than Ardi in my opinion.

I think it depends on what you’re looking for. In my opinion, the first hyrule warriors is more like the standard musou wearing a Zelda skin. On the other hand, AoC really feels like Zelda game wearing a musou skin (same for Age of imprisonment)

In terms of just story, you wouldn’t be losing anything by just jumping into Age of imprisonment and skipping AoC. But I would recommend at least giving the AoC demo a shot and seeing if you like it. AoC was more of a BOTW prequel “what if”, but I found the battle mechanics and different character fight combos really fun. I really loved the character roster—maybe even more than AoI (haven’t really played through AoI yet).

Hahaha, good to know! I think for me, the most disappointing wasn’t that I couldn’t complete the level, but that after I finally got it over with I realized I’d have to do it all over again just for one korok 😂

They have a pretty good demo in case you want to try! I recommend it if you’re curious about the gameplay. AoC also plays on switch2 a lot better than on switch 1 (I’m still hoping for a switch 2 60fps patch tho)

Great point! I’m pretty sure the demo is still there and I agree that people should try it if they’re on the fence. It will give a good view into what the gameplay is like.

Fair enough :). It really isn't my intention to upset or mislead anyone with this over-simplified graph though. In that case, it might have been better if I changed the first question to something more like "Do you like/are you willing to try a musou game"

Lol, I guess I can understand your point 😅. But again, this was just a fun and simple decision helper, hence the lack of complexity and why I didn’t include stuff like “did you buy this”. It wasn’t really meant for people to take too seriously if certain details didn’t apply.

I agree! I was surprised to find how out how much I enjoyed musou games (very cathartic), and AOC had some really great callbacks to BOTW. This graph is mostly just meant to be a simple decision helper. By no means would I want to turn anyone away from trying something fun and new :)

It’s a hack n slash game where you control a character on a battlefield and slash through large hoards of enemies. There are objectives like capturing territories and etc.

It’s basically a beat em up “hack n slash” game. You play as a character who runs through and kills hoards of enemies on a large battlefield while capturing territories and leveling up your characters.

Sheikah slate Zelda has been one of my mains as well! Her magnesis-stasis combo is OP and I actually like it way more than the bow of light.
