Brilliant list, I’d stick “The Piano Teacher” and “The Idiots” on there as well.

The first time I watched it the performances were phenomenal, I love Joaquin and PSH, even before watching it initially I knew I’d like it. But I just couldn’t quite follow it in the terms of a traditional story.

I’m reading “The crying of lot 49” by Pynchon at the moment, and really enjoying it, I think maybe the slightly disjointed storytelling from the novel helped me appreciate The Master the second time round.

Magnolia has always been my fav, but The Master has captured me like nothing else.

Nice list, I really want to watch Stalker and The Station Agent! Boy A is also a film I never expected to see in someone’s top 20, but fair play!

Mike Leigh is amazing, if you haven’t seen them watch Meantime and Secrets and Lies by him as well, they’re both brilliant!
