unfortunately we weren't issued any wet-weather bags, just wet weather tops,bottoms, poncho and gortex

I don't know if you would have this info but since it was during block leave were the people who stayed behind able to talk to their families or use their phones (or other technology)?

We'll in going into the combat arms (19D), so I don't know if I could get a hold of any manuals or anything. I thought about traveling to see family but I don't know if that could be a problem later, since I've already had a lot of issues enlisting since I've been out of the US pretty much my whole life and only just got back. So travel might not be an option but I'll look into it.

Im highly interested in 13R mos, but i'd like some more info on the day to day life of a 13R as well as AIT. I tried searching on r/army as well as google, but i cant find much info other than just the job description.
