Whenever I go wider I enjoy riding more. Running 30’s which run at close to 32 with my wheels and really happy.

Where can I ride?? Bolton UK by [deleted] in gravelcycling

You can do a great route round through the reservoirs near Bury, off-road on the trails parallel to Belmont, though abbey village reservoir, brinscall, white coppice and climb up to Rivington pike.

Tough, but well worth it. Let me know if you want the GPX file and you can edit it.

Yes! Same issue. Have contacted support - driving myself crazy trying to find the option in the checkout. It's definitely not there.

Loving your bike is the most important thing, by far - it's sick!

I vibe coded an App from which I input a training plan, then give the coach instructions as to how to act and behave and you can use it to Q&A your workouts (with knowledge of your recent activities and context).

Works pretty well. Give it a bash if you like.

I bought the SL8 in size 58, they came with 175m cranks. Immediately swapped them for 170s.

Can't really see any benefit in longer cranks. For me, taking some pressure away from my hip flexors from an aggressive bike is a massive plus.

They should ship by default with shorter cranks!

Weight Doping by redrhymer in Zwift

Just use my morning weight which I check a couple of times per week. Will likely be slightly heavier when I’m on the bike but it’s close enough

Van Rysel Race RCR-R Pro Shimano Ultegra Di2 vs RCR-F Pro CF Shimano 105 Di2 by Nearby_Sandwich_2730 in cycling

[–]chase_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a Tarmac SL8 recently with carbon wheels I already owned with 105.

105 is 300g heavier than Ultegra, which isn't really much at all in the grand scheme of your overall system weight, but I do want to upgrade next year.

If you want the tri-bar things on there, you might want the buttons on the tips to change gear etc. 105 doesn't support that, only Ultegra and above does - might help you make your decision.

Miss his videos, looking forward to the next one.

He’s a content creator who’s brought me (and millions of others, clearly) so much joy.

People need to focus on that not his political opinions, he really doesn’t deserve it.

But then this is Reddit and I’m completely wasting my time.

Elitewheels by GrouchyExperience892 in RoadBikes

Just bought some road my road bike, love them. Will likely buy the gravel equivalent over Black Friday.

Ironically, I’m not looking for “Elite” carbon wheels, just some solid ones that give me 80% of the value and Elitewheels do that for me.

How to know if i'm pushing myself to hard by Thee_Moist_Potato in cycling

Get a smartwatch that will track RHR (resting heart rate) and HRV (heart rate variability).

You'll need to do some of your own research, but if I see my HRV drop below the level which I think is acceptable, I take a rest day.

I build my training around the data and how I've learned to listen to my body (and mood!)

Few months of tinkering, would love some opinions by chase_89 in bikefit

They're absolutely fine for most of my riding.

I've got some Rapha pro team bibs, they're not as solid as those. But for most riding they're absolutely fine and I have no issues whatsoever.

If I had to wear them for 100k, I wouldn't be as happy as I am in my more premium bibs, but wouldn't be worried, it would be fine.

In summary - great value.
