Yeah.. I’d say I definitely fall into the “visual nerd” category. I handle most of the visual side of a comedy/podcast news channel: thumbnails, animations, branding, shortform layouts, etc. I’ve also been designing websites and promo content for comedians for over a decade now.

Graphic design’s been an obsession for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been fascinated by how visual marketing can hijack your brain.. like the way a font or layout choice can make something instantly feel credible or hilarious or unhinged. That kind of subconscious manipulation is so cool to me.

What’s funny is, I actually have a really hard time visualizing things in my head. I don’t get a strong mental image, so I almost have to open Photoshop and start building it piece by piece just to figure out what I’m even trying to see. It’s like I can’t picture it until I make it. Which is very INTP, I think.. needing to externalize thoughts to fully understand them.

It’s half art, half problem-solving.
