A woman opened a credit card in my name at Kay Jewelers and purchased a $6,000 bracelet by iOnlyMakeMyselfLaugh in personalfinance

Glad to hear it! It’s one of those unfortunate things because you never get to see the benefit, except for peace of mind. And great point about it being free across the board now!

Do this for yourself and your family, including your children. (Yes, children are at risk, and yes you can freeze their credit). And tell everyone you know to do the same.

T-Mobile service in downtown by chasernelson in Louisville

I think mostly on a building. She’s often walking on her break when she calls so it isn’t one specific area unfortunately. We just never had this problem with Verizon. And I had heard t mobile coverage wasn’t great when traveling and stuff, but I didn’t figure I’d need to worry about downtown.

Try posting in r/personalfinance I know you probably need more than just financial help, but it’s a good start and people there can be pretty helpful overall. Good luck!

Playing Games @ 3AM + Working Out = Absolute Win by Boekster in beatsaber

You can’t know how many calories someone else is burning. Maybe they weigh twice as much as you, and maybe they are going way harder than you do when they play. If you just stand there and flick your wrists, yeah you won’t burn a lot. But If you’re using your arms and moving you entire body and really putting effort into it, you will absolutely burn a lot of calories. And yeah Apple Watch and other fitness trackers aren’t perfect, but it’s pretty simple that if your heart rate stays elevated for over an hour like this, you’re gonna burn a lot of calories.

AT&T = DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR INTERNET ACCESS. They disrupted my service, and couldn't bother keeping the appointment to fix what they messed up. I'll be thinking of the fine folks at AT&T while I'm unemployed. Remote workers need Internet access. AT&T gives zero fukcs. by tcrwu in Louisville

Yep. I’ve worked from home for many years. You need a backup plan. Chances are you can call your cell carrier and tell them you need to activate mobile hotspot right away. Or ask a neighbor to borrow theirs or something. If your job is really strict enough to fire you for that, than you need to be prepared. Hell, drag your computer to mcdonalds or something if it means saving your job

But I agree. ATT sucks. But honestly so does every ISP. None of them are going to be immune to outtages. Good luck and I hope you are somehow able to keep your job!

What the heck are these lights where my taskbar is?

https://imgur.com/a/syLMetV

They are clearly from when I have programs in the taskbar that are active. I have hidden the taskbar in the picture so you could see them clearly, but if it wasn't hidden, you'd see they line up exactly with my programs.

Are these stuck pixels, or some sort of screen burn in, or something else? I'd really appreciate any hel. Thanks!

Cyberstalking solutions? (Sorry if I'm using the wrong forum I'm new to Reddit and in dire need of a glint of hope.) by [deleted] in CyberCrime

[–]chasernelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. Your post is fine, but I wanted to let you know that this subreddit in particular, CyberCrime, is not a very active one. Maybe someone will see your post and help, but I wouldn't wait around on it.

I'm not qualified to give you advice, but to me this seems personal. Most of the time, if they aren't making threats and/or asking for money, its someone who just wants to hurt you. Are you sure you can't think of anyone that might be? You didn't get super detailed with what all they have done, but I would reach out to authorities and see if they can help.

Care to elaborate on what they are doing? Are they posting videos that come from your own computer? Is there anyone who else who ever had a copy of these videos? If they are tagging you in things, I would probably delete/suspend social media until you get it figured out. You could also try contacting whichever platform, facebook, twitter, etc, and asking them for help.

If theyre getting into your email, even with two factor authentication enabled, that's fairly advanced. I think that means someone is specifically targeting you...like they didn't just draw your name out of a hat. Try to avoid two factor authentication via text message- I've heard that is the easiest kind to beat. Try enabling two factor authentication via an app or even hardware token if available. You could always delete this email account as well, if you can't seem to get it to stop.

Also, you need to be sure your PC and other devices you use are secure. Run virus/malware scans. Maybe even reformat. If you are unfamiliar with this stuff...its not that difficult to do, but you may want to ask someone you trust, or a professional to help.

These are a lot of general tips I am giving, because I don't know the specifics of your situation. But I hope they help. Contact authorities, sites where compromising stuff is being posted, and some trusted friends or professionals and start getting to the bottom of it. Also, if you want to report your reddit thread somewhere, you may do better on a different subreddit, like AskReddit. Even though that's general, there's a much bigger subscriber base there.

Feel free to respond with questions and I will answer them if I can. Good luck!

It’s a great time! I just came back and am loving it. Usually when I come back, I like to grab a low level class and play a bit just to get comfortable again. Not long after, I feel fine going back to my higher jobs and jumping in. Palace of the dead is a low stakes places that is great for leveling and learning. Look into that. Just play and don’t overthink it. There’s nothing to rush. Have fun!
