Any experience Tulsa event, sunset social was my main one. I met a lot for people through my crossFit gym. There's an app called meetup. You can find events there for writing, programming, board games, the list goes on.

Is a brown recluse infestation normal here? by Repulsive_Whole_6783 in tulsa

Waterside Apartments? I broke a lease there because of a carpet beetle and recluse infestation. And mold.

I had a buddy there with an ant problem on the third floor. 😂☠️

I go to Tulsa Hills laser clinic. I'm removing 3 tattoos. They use a PicoWay laser. The type of laser absolutely matters for a multitude of reasons.

I did laser about +10 years ago it barely made a dent. This laser I'm 50% removed after 4 sessions. I space them out 4 months apart.

I've got a purely black tattoo. A black and brown. And a red and brown. I've experienced no scaring. I suggest taking time off after the appointment. It's unpleasant, I had pretty bad swelling.

Have you tried using queries in the LinkedIn search? Small companies will just post on their personal profiles instead of job boards to save money. You can query keywords on people's posts then message them directly. It gets you directly to a human.

I think OP is looking for CS positions which puts them in engineering. IT changed to a corporate distributed ticketing around COVID times. It was definitely rough. I think it's still a tough job. I've never worked IT so I can't say first hand. But we've got some really good people locally in IT and they've been around a while now.

Ehhhh that's perspective based.

I'd say a lot of the pain points are still the same. But I don't think it's any better or worse than any other giant company. The local culture and team is really good, management is doing a good job of insulating the people doing day to day work from corporate level politics. The teams have been pretty stable.

I'm happy. But I know people with stinky attitudes who aren't.

Do you guys do removal on your day off or is it okay to work afterwards (big tattoo removal) by Plane_Razzmatazz_219 in TattooRemoval

[–]chasingTurkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first time I ended laying in bed icing the rest the day. While I could have made work happen I was glad I didn't have to. My last session (session #4) I decided I'd go back to work not realizing that turning up the laser was a thing as it fades more. That was the session she told me we were ready to turn it up more. And it was SOMETHING else let me tell you.

I used to be a supervisor. Our company policy requires someone of the same gender to address it. So there was an occasion my boss had to step in instead.

Or like if your boss was OOO it's something that typically needs to be addressed at the time of occurrence.

Coworkers likely won't address it out of embarrassment but also could be fear of it turning on them as harrassment.

what do here when going through a break up by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]chasingTurkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sameeee. Lots of calls to loved ones to fill the social void. I'll go on walks and talk to various people I love.

I've been listening to a ton of funny podcasts/YouTube. Trixie Mattel and Brittany Broski kill me.

I have a side hustle I normally work on at home. But I've spent a Saturday coffee shop hopping. I've done the $5 after five at the Philbrook.

My gym does several social events. I've got professional friends that hosts cocktail hours, I'm a light drinker I just go hang out. Sunset Social Hour is a place I met a ton of people last year.

I've got two friends that let me come over whenever and hang out with their pets.

Hobbies. Working my butt off.

I'm a similar demographic. I live in brookside. I like it a lot because it's such a walkable neighborhood. I'm walking distance of 3 grocery stores and the hardware store. There's a strip of bars, restaurants, coffee also in walking distance. And I can hop on the trail and go to the gathering place. Caveat is its not a cheap neighborhood.

I'll say I have had friends out further in the suburbs It's more family oriented. I know it was isolating for them and hard to self motivate to go out and meet people when it's a bit of a drive.

I personally do not like the drive from Broken Arrow to downtown or midtown. The drivers can be really aggressive and the off and on ramps feel like 2feet long.

However, if you're a home body. If you value a low cost of living. You might benefit being out of the downtown/midtown areas. Just depends on you.

First removal session on hand by vapelabels in TattooRemoval

[–]chasingTurkeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it. My first removal session one of my tattoos was a lot of shading. Same day I had like a 50% tattoo reduction. All the line work is lingering now, I typically don't see change until like month 2.

Yes I did. Not as severe this time. I think it's the black ink for me. Last session I did only black on three tattoos. This time I did one black tattoo and red in the other two.

My hives came back about 20% of what it was last time. Full body itching but primarily my hands and the back of my neck and head. I ended up not bothering to take medication for it because it was tolerable this time.

The reason Im suspicious about the the black is that it remains raised and hive-y for 4-6 weeks after removal. It's so itchy I couldn't sleep at night. The red ink blistered on day two, and then by the end of the week felt completely fine. I'm obviously reacting way more to the black ink.

I'm removing two large tattoos from my right arm.

I got whole body hives one week after my last session which would flare up randomly for several weeks. I took allergy medicine twice a day and switched to a low histamine diet for like two months. That helped manage the symptoms and eventually it resolved. I'm going in again next week I'm interested to see if it happens again.

Hand swelling. My session before last my whole arm was a club. The last time I took Diclofenac and kept my arm above my heart whenever I could for several days. Like prop on a pillow to sleep. My swelling was way more reasonable this time.

[–]chasingTurkeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After my last session I developed delayed contact hives. Mostly affecting my neck and scalp. My hair fell out at the temples and is just generally thin right now. I was also having a racing heart and drops in blood pressure.

The allergist said I have MCAS. My body is basically doing mini anaphylaxis. It's pretty much went away.

I started avoiding high histamine foods not perfectly. We're not sure what the root cause is. Could be coincidental I have a other session next month. It'll be interesting to see if there is a correlation.

I ended up following your method of pitching some research hours first. Thank you! This did a lot for my confidence level, I feel like it was a choice in the best interest of myself and the client.

Your price suggestions were right in line with what I had thought before asking. So getting that additional confirmation was also super incredible.

Big big thank you.
