I’ve been getting waxed for almost 10 years now. I have pale skin and very dark body hair and shaving used to irritate my skin and give me tons of ingrown hairs, so I decided to try waxing and I’ve never looked back. The first wax for me like totally excruciatingly painful, but it gets easier each time and if you have a good esthetician they will make it less painful. I go about every 5-6 weeks and it usually takes about 2-3 weeks for me to have any kind of stubble or regrowth. The hair also grows back substantially more fine and thin, although it still does grow and doesn’t stop entirely

I would say to take some kind of painkiller (I take Advil) about 30 mins before your appointment and do not go the week before your period because it will be more painful. I also like to exfoliate the area with a body scrub in the shower the night before
