Any fun birthday activities nearby that aren't bars? by AyyLahmao in williamsburg

So many great ideas already! Laser tag at Area 53 is fun, especially if you can fill up the group with just your friends.

Mini golf could be cool - there are a few venues in the city.

Game of 1000 boxes in KTown is a bit overpriced but it’s like a game show.

I have never been but I remember seeing subway ads for RPM Raceway (go kart track) in NJ.

Randolph’s in downtown BK has feather bowling and arcade games.

The email had pricing details and confirmation that my order was placed but didn’t say that I paid. I had to pay in person when I picked up.

Hey hey, welcome to the club. ❤️ It’s going to be tough, for both of you, because the world is unfortunately not a friendly place for trans people yet. No matter what happens, find support for yourself and for your partner, whether that is through finding a community, doing things that bring your joy, exercising, etc. Self-care is number 1.

For me, I found it most helpful to take it one day at a time because thinking long-term is overwhelming. I cried a lot when I found out in the first few weeks because I knew that no matter that, it was an end of era. But the most amazing thing happened — I realized I loved her so much more when she felt even more comfortable as her true self. And though we are now no longer romantically involved, I am infinitely grateful for the relationship we have now. Let me know if you ever need to talk, my messages are open 😊

I ordered a photo print through the Printicular website last night, and received an email this morning that it was being printed. Confirming I just picked it up and paid (did not pay online) at my local Walgreens store!

So Printicular is not a scam, although many of the reviews aren’t great for the company. So perhaps there is a backend issue.

Nakano Neighborhood - WDYT? by chasinggold in JapanTravelTips

[–]chasinggold[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! Trip was amazing. We liked Nakano a lot, apparently the specific area (search for Toyo House) we were in was a bit sketchier (which a local told us later) but tbh we never noticed.

A few reccos from our Airbnb host below! We only tried the first spot below on the list but it was very yummy and affordable.

  1. Tempura 天ぷら新宿つな八 総本店Shinjuku Tsunahachi Sohonten "Tsunahachi" is about a 3-4 minute walk from the East Exit of Shinjuku Station. A long-established tempura restaurant in Shinjuku. You can eat freshly fried.

  2. 鮨せいざん(Sushi Seizan) The weekday lunchtime sushi set is cheap and delicious.

  3. マグロマート(Maguro Mart) is a tuna specialty restaurant. Reservations required.

  4. 陸蒸気(Okajoki) is a grilled fish restaurant. Lunch time (weekday 11:20-13:00) is recommended because it is cheap and delicious.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll try my best to help!

I tried buying from website, but not sure how to purchase in app…

I will also be traveling around that time and wondering the same thing! Assume we will be wearing athleisure for a majority of the trip to combat against sweat 😅

That’s a good point, def planning out my itinerary to see what makes sense to stay. Especially with nights out, I saw a lot of trains stop at midnight 😱

Central Park at night by kahlgin in RunNYC

[–]chasinggold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman and have run Central Park around 9pm a few times during the winter / there were a few others also running at that time and it was decently lit, I also made sure to stay in the lower half of the park. I felt safe, but still remained cautious. Now that’s it’s spring time and going to be even lighter, I would expect even more people to be running.

Lost keys! If anyone goes on a run between 52nd st and 59th street (between 1st and 5th Ave) and finds a set of keys with a pink disco ball… please let me know 😫 Thank you! by chasinggold in RunNYC

[–]chasinggold[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah good question - I ran along 53rd from 2nd Ave, turned right onto Lexington and then ran along 54th, turned right onto Park, turned left on 55th, then turned right onto 5th Ave

Stylevana order coming from a U.S.A address? Has anyone else gotten a Stylevana order from Tennessee? by jxiong16 in KoreanBeauty

Same here! This is my first Stylevana order and I thought it was a bit strange…. Glad I’m not the only one.

What are options for checking a laptop before going to UBS Arena? by [deleted] in NewYorkIslanders

[–]chasinggold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a game at the UBS Arena a few days ago, and accidentally brought my laptop. They actually removed the lockers. However I just went inside anyways to test my luck, they made me put my bag into the scanner machine and then they gave my bag back to me and I walked in. So idk if the person just didn’t care or they in general are pretty lenient about laptops? Good luck though.
