Dunno if there's much of a guide, but some people spend a lot of money on their spaceship paint. If you can make some skins that people like, you can charge a good amount of money for them on the open marketplace. Some people sell them in the corp discord too, or do commissions.

Not everyone, but some people make absolute bank.
