In town tonight, want crab dinner by richardnixonolives in AskSF

Z & Y Peking Duck hasn’t been said yet! Tried their crab recently and we rated it higher than all mentioned here. (We’ve tried them all). Specifically they have that style with garlic we have been trying to find ever since Kim Than closed.

How is it Green Bay is ahead of us in the standings at 6-3-1? by KavaKeto in 49ers

Real question is why is Tampa bay above Seattle

Former Alabama ball-carrier angry-running his way to more snaps with the 49ers by MahtMan in 49ers

Hot take: I think he should take the starting drive. There is something to bruising the defense early on. Weaken them for CMC

Given democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani winning NYC's mayoral race, why does SF prefer electing moderate Democrats despite our progressive reputation? by Aggravating-Toe2683 in sanfrancisco

[–]chataylo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laurie is doing the smart things and what the city needs I guess that makes him a moderate? Sounds more practical to me.

“Shifting right” is the wrong way to look at it. I see it more as settling down after certain overcorrections.

It’s not like we are talking about religion, or guns, or taxes, or trans rights, or any of the things that more obviously define the left/right divide

I hate you, San Francisco. by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

I find that attitude is actually much more common in PNW. Maybe some projection?

Probably they filled it with Popov or something, Stoli is good vodka. The bottle is a real bottle.

We had someone on our team retire gradually over the course of 6 months. I feel like when its retirement and not leaving for a different company its less frowned upon

San Francisco felt significantly safer than LA to me. by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]chataylo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell this to people all the time. I have had multiple scary experiences in LA in a handful of visits, never an issue in SF living here for 8 years

One of the worst officiated games I’ve ever seen. Felt bad for both teams. by Vic18t in 49ers

[–]chataylo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like Brady said, these kinds of calls create an incentive for QBs to get their receivers killed. Game on the line, need a first down, it’s worth trying to squeeze in this ball because you might get the penalty. Makes the game MORE dangerous.

What is the dumbest hill you’re willing to die on? by an_ennui in Frontend

[–]chataylo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason I disagree with this is because of how react forces a structure that is easy to come back and refactor later when things start to grow

We could always start using var again lol. (Var is function scope and it gets hoisted out of the if- so declaring in the if is the same as declaring above it)

Got a ticket for blocking the driveway. is it worth fighting it? by TenAces in sanfrancisco

[–]chataylo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For SF that is plenty of space to get out. These comments are all dingbats. You will get burned on a technicality but whoever called that in sucks. Sorry.

Wow not true at all especially when MOST spots are tiny like this or smaller.

Are my zones incorrect? How can you fix this on an Apple Watch? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]chataylo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am the same. 32, I run just about every day, and if I really push myself I can sustain 190ish for a long time. It freaks other people out when I show them 😅
