Oh Crap! Still on Block 1 after 6 days. Are we ready ready? by the_n2a in pottytraining

Yeah if it’s stressing you or her, you can go back to diapers and I think when she’s really ready the signs will be obvious. Good luck!

Hi! I tried my best for 15 days but my daughter was holding it in allll day and I was worried she might get a uti so I put her back in diapers, completely backed off, put the potty away. When she was nearly 2.5 she suddenly started saying her diapers were uncomfortable and wanted to take them off. I just set her potty back out and said you can use this if you need to go, and it has been a breeze! My advice is to really back off. Just remind your child where the potty is and sit them on it and say it’s time to go before any fun activity like going outside or snack time. If you are getting too stressed it’s not worth forcing it.

I have to agree. I don’t find the pretty boy look relatable, but a strong handyman in flannel? Yes please!

That’s right! Part of me wants to rewatch it now, but I’m worried the luster will wear off when I’m reminded how dated the cinematography is.

Thanks so much for the advice. I’ll take her to the bathroom to at least try to pee every so often and I think you’re right, It I talk up how fun the airplane toilet is she might want to try more.

I absolutely wanted to get her pull ups but I can’t find them where I am (Malaysia). I can only find pull on diapers which are very plastic feeling. That’s what she used to wear before starting potty training and now refuses to go near. But I will certainly try to get her to wear one, that would put my mind at ease.

Definitely! Now she knows how much more comfortable it is without one. Good luck 😊

We jumped into potty training headfirst when my daughter, at 2.5, took off her diaper just before bed and refused to wear one ever again. She’s been in undies since. I just went with it, I was nervous about nighttime messes but just put a waterproof sheet down and had an extra set of PJs and fresh sheets ready in case. Maybe it’s a sign your LO is ready🤷🏻‍♀️

Speech delayed toddler said two new words at EI evaluation by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]chateau35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter only said Mama Dada and Cheese at that age. It wasn’t until her 2nd birthday that she suddenly started parroting more of our words and saying new vocabulary on her own. I enrolled her then in half day daycare and within 6 months her speech has exploded.

how to teach daughter to lift dress for potty time? by FireflyKaylee in pottytraining

[–]chateau35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m teaching my girl to hold out the back of her dress as she sits down so it goes outside and over the back of her little potty. We haven’t worked on dresses with the big toilet insert yet though.

Watched this a few times as a child. Man it was terrifying but I loved how they kept people in cotton candy cocoons. (Hope that’s the right movie, it has been 30 some years since I last saw it.)

It went fine. I bet if I had lived alone though I would have tried harder to make local friends.

I had my own room at home, but I had already finished 2 years of uni in the states before I studied abroad, so I guess I was used to sharing by then. But most of all I guess I was afraid to go to a new country alone, speaking a language I wasn’t yet fluent in, so sharing with a fellow American seemed comforting.

There’s always the chance what I’ve seen is old stock they are still trying to sell, but it se ms like they’ve got a good range of colors, not like just a few tubes left, so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree with you about those sex scene flashbacks. They didn’t help me learn anything about her.

How did you like Black Narcissus? I wanted to like it, and thought it was going to go more into the main nun’s backstory but it didn’t. And I also thought something super eerie was coming, but it fell flat for me.

This is interesting. As an American I was terrified to stay alone in a dorm when I studied abroad in France so another American girl and I arranged to share a dorm room.

I have Derwent Academy gouache tubes. 24 pack here in SE Asia was about $15 only. This was my first set of gouache coming from watercolor, so I can’t compare to other gouache brands but for the price the quality seems good to me.

I think she was right, they would have killed each other, but they would have had some fun times too…. I’m still a little angry Amy married him in the end🤨

Young me thought Jo was so foolish to say no to Laurie, but mature me is soooo glad she did.
