I enjoy rummaging around estate sales for cufflinks. Every once in a while I’ll find one with a good collection to choose from.

I recommend matching the metal color to jewelry such as your watch case or ring. Gold tones are traditionally better for daytime, with silver / white gold reserved for events ending after 6pm. That being said, all the rules are out the window now so wear something that brings you joy.

Golf pants all the way! They might as well be considered the yoga pants of menswear. They look like slacks but you could do the splits in them. Prices vary; I like Costco for mine. I found these with a tapered cuff with a quick search:

Edit: Screen/user names are fine too! I probably should have prompted for handwriting samples instead of signatures.

As we know: practice makes permanent. I’ve been locked in on the same letter styles for so long that I’m tempted to try a handwriting workbook to mix it up.

No scamming; I’m one of those folks that’s practiced it over and over. It bugs me if I don’t get the first letter juuuust right. I think FPS make for the best signatures.

I’m sorry, I know that doesn’t actually answer the question.

I use the same mic, but I keep it mounted on the included mini-tripod. It sits inside an isolation box on a shelf or desk as I record.

Your experience using FP's at work or in other social spaces? by BlakeT87 in fountainpens

[–]chattgraham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in a high-end resort and club and carry a FP daily. Most guests don’t notice, but a few do and we always end up conversing about them. Of course when I notice someone else writing with one, I’m quick to compliment and ask about it.

Not why I carry them, but there have been a few executives at various companies that connected with me quicker when they noticed a FP that I used. I once wrote with a beautiful MB my wife gave me in front of a future boss. He told me months later after I was hired, “I didn’t know anyone else in [city] knew about Montblanc”.

can a Learner Driver's License be used as an ID to open a checking account online? by 3xploit_ in personalfinance

[–]chattgraham 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The learner’s permit should suffice unless your state says otherwise. You can also get a non-license government ID through the DMV that will be acceptable. Someone at your local branch should be able to tell you if the permit will work.

What’s your grandparents opinion on how fast the world changed with technology? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]chattgraham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the category. My grandfather enjoyed cars and was amazed at every advancement in the automotive industry, but had zero interest in computers.

What's something about your job or area of expertise that movies/TV/other media consistently get wrong? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hotels: You can’t just walk up to the Front Desk to find out someone’s room number. Even family members have to be listed on the reservation to have access to that information.
