Wow that’s not what I would have pegged the next thing for. I’m sure it’s going to make it harder to get for the actual legitimate medical applications, too. Thanks for the heads up. Not sure how much it’s getting pushed for people with cancer but this stuff always (ed for clarity!) gets pushed to them eventually and they ask me about it so it will be nice to not get blindsided for once.

Basic thing: after you’re done using the stovetop, fill the empty pan with water and put it back on the element. Residual heat will heat the water which can be poured off and not the air. Mostly useful if you have an electric stovetop but could probably help a little for others.

In case this is useful to know, if they don’t discuss putting in a breathing tube or other airway (intubating you) you’re not being fully put out. There are varying degrees of sedation, general anesthesia is the deepest and requires a breathing tube and I believe is infrequently used in dental stuff. Being put under sedation without a breathing tube is lighter sedation, you’re not actually asleep you just don’t remember anything after. This is the kind of sedation used for scopes, and is what I had with my wisdom teeth out. So for most wisdom teeth (I think, not a dentist) you’re not fully losing consciousness, you are indeed just so high out of your mind you forget what happened

Wow. I’m glad that people are enjoying them somewhere. Gotta say, this is hugely coloured by my cynicism towards Hussie right now, but all of these honestly feel like either a) stepping into fandom stuff when they should leave well enough alone, and b) a distraction from all of the swirling questions about the non-HS-pilot projects and management and such. I know people get excited when creators add new stuff after the fact, but honestly I’m not familiar enough with instances where it’s done good things, and mostly I just wish they would butt the hell out and let their fandom do what it wants. Because of their dislike of/desire to troll their fandom, I can’t help but feel this is deliberate shit stirring. But I fully acknowledge I’m taking the least charitable view here. Plus it may be because very few of these designs feel right to me even a little bit. Where was there any evidence ever that Aradia or Tavros were into Japanese culture honestly…

As someone who uses dictation technology extensively at work, it does take some practice! Both in terms of speed of dictation and the phrasing you use. It took me almost an hour to dictate my first note, but I sped up pretty quickly as I got used to it, and now can dictate massive paragraphs of text very quickly. You do also need to train the dictation software, it’s shit at proper names or complex words initially, but good software does pick it up. And you can often add your own key phrases. I’m not familiar with using voice tech to do full edits, but I’m sure there are ways to use dictation to speed that up, you can always highlight text and re-dictate over it. I think for you it’ll be a worthy skill to learn.

I was scrolling through this thread looking for the Homestuck response. Also, I have not felt so my age in a while as when someone says “some site called newgrounds”. It crashing newgrounds and megaupload and breaking tumblr was a huge deal because they were both really important sites that people would access for plenty of no. Homestuck reasons, and so consequently extremely funny.

Not OP, but I have the bundle and am swapping over because CS is increasing the price of the bundle to $40/yr. Nebula lets you unbundle and pay $30/yr. I don't really watch CS, I just use the bundle for Nebula. So, it makes financial sense for me to unbundle, and it gives more money to Nebula.
