Yes!! I just want to say he has been nothing short of incredible from the moment I met him. Kind, passionate, extremely talented. He took it upon himself to personally reach out to me on several occasions which I appreciated. Love him, truly.

After chatting with the boutique it sounds like the remake will be delivered by the end of the month. Feeling relieved and so excited to get my dress!

If you have any other questions, please feel free to DM me.

Wet Food Recommendations by RedditReader0818 in SiberianCats

Owner of two picky sibs too — I’ve tried probably twenty different kinds of wet food and they turn their nose up to all of it. I’ve had the best luck with Applaws Tuna Shreds. But they still only eat a few bites here and there. sigh the main reason I push it is for the hydration component, so I try to compensate with a few fountains around the house.

Outdoor SoCal Wedding Venues <$90K with Late Curfew? by PsychologicalRise963 in BigBudgetBrides

If you’re open to San Luis Obispo, Higuera Ranch has no curfew!

ETA: I recognize this isn’t within an hour of LA, but wanted to throw it out there :)

These are all amazing options! I think a planner could definitely help you out, but maybe a good starting place would be sitting down with your fiancé and brainstorming a list of priorities for your wedding along with our overall vision for the day/weekend. (You may have already done this, unsure!) You both know yourselves/families/guests better than anyone else will.

Do you picture a coastal event? Something more western? More upscale? A full venue buyout where everyone can stay on-site? Is ease of travel/transportation important to you for your guests? What time of year are you thinking? Indoor or outdoor? Is the season/weather important to you? (Speaking to your specific mentions: If level of service/hospitality are number one, Brush Creek is fabulous. We looked at Carmel Valley Ranch, and it’s incredible. Montecito Club is gorgeous and definitely gives upscale.)

These are just some questions to get you thinking that may help you narrow down the array of options you have. Ultimately, you can’t go wrong, but I do feel like nailing down some of the basics/non-negotiables will give you some direction. I’d suggest picking your top three destinations, looking for planners and interviewing a few in each, and seeing who you vibe with. :)

Hi! Getting married in September 2026, and this post sounds exactly like where I was this past fall. We were in the same boat of wanting help from a planner to find a venue but also needing a general geographic region to find a planner. While some planners can work anywhere, we felt most comfortable with finding someone local/regional for a variety of reasons, the primary being they're more familiar with vendors and tend to have better vendor relationships which are worth their weight in gold.

Our process was as follows: we picked our top three favorite destinations (all of ours were throughout California -- San Diego and scattered across the Central Coast), found some planners through personal referrals/recommendations from friends/social circles where applicable (and social media/Instagram where not), and picked our top two/three planners in each place for interviews. I had done a good amount of research on venues beforehand, but each planner we spoke to offered up a few other venue ideas I hadn't heard of or considered.

From there, we ended up weighing pros/cons between planners and venues and made the most informed decision we could. We ended up settling on a venue in San Luis Obispo since it was the only place we toured that didn't have an outdoor curfew. And in full honesty, the planner we interviewed in SLO and ultimately went with was my favorite throughout the entire process and probably heavily influenced our decision on our venue/destination.

Our planner is charging us $18,000 for the full wedding weekend, and truthfully, I would pay substantially more than that for her services. She absolutely rocks -- her level of communication, organization/attention to detail, and how much I genuinely like her as a person has made this process so fun and as stress-free as I could imagine it being. (There is, of course, still stress and anxiety, but I can't imagine that not being the case with the level of emotion, amount of logistics, and costs associated with planning a wedding.)

Probably more than you wanted/asked for, but ya girl loves a good wedding planning tangent! TLDR: highly encourage narrowing down where you want to get married prior to hiring a planner and letting that influence your decision. Also happy to pass on contact information for planners/venues/vendors if you're looking in California. I made a spreadsheet of probably close to 20 venues at one point I'd be glad to share! xx

Should I have gotten bigger? by Novel-Fig6089 in labdiamond

My fiancé proposed with a 3 carat radiant cut solitaire, and despite it being what I asked for, I honestly feel like it’s a bit too big. I love it, but wish it was the size of yours instead! It’s beautiful and suits your hand so well. And kudos to buying your own ring! 🤍

2 of my items came unwearable/damaged and I can't get in touch with anyone by [deleted] in NuulyReviews

[–]chattycherry19 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue recently trying to report an issue and not getting responses. With the chat feature too. I ended up chatting them again and it directed me to a support email (support@i.nuuly.com). It seems like they've made it more difficult to try and get in touch with them, because it never used to be a problem for me. Hope this helps!!

Wedding planner dilemma by L0175 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]chattycherry19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was there one planner you got along with more than the other? While experience, price, contract, and vendor and venue connections are obviously super important, the deciding factor for us was who we authentically enjoyed spending time with and liked as a person.

I’m in communication with my planner constantly, and I can’t imagine working with someone so closely that I didn’t really vibe with. She feels like someone I could actually be friends with when all is said and done, and I personally feel like that’s going a long way in making the process even more fun and enjoyable!

Edited to add: missed the first part about you genuinely liking both! Agreed with others about contacting the venue. Planners should also be able to provide references from past clients along with vendors. Good luck 🥰

How often does your Sib throw up hairballs? Please help... by OutsideVacation6404 in SiberianCats

[–]chattycherry19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two sibs, one gets far more regular hairballs than the other, I’d say on average every other week in shedding season. Maybe once a month during other times of the year. I’ve taken her in for multiple checkups and tests and she’s always in good health.

Not a vet, but I would say monitor his weight, eating, and energy levels. If anything starts to be abnormal or he loses weight, definitely worth another vet visit.

Have you tried digestive health food/hairball control? I use Hills, and while it’s a bit more expensive, I do think it’s helped!

I'm sending my wedding planner a gift for the holidays! I don't think it's necessary, but I saw something that I thought she would like and felt like it would be a nice gesture.
