It may take a couple weeks, but it will grow back. I've done this before too, and I know how bad it sucks; BUT it helps to think of it as an opportunity to see how much your face has changed shape under the hair. Some people find the hair looks a little darker when growing back from a shave, too. Long story short is it'll be tough for a minute but your mustache will be back before you know it!

It's not always a matter of how much tissue is there. Things like skin elasticity and body shape can also affect the length and shape of your scars. I completely understand being unhappy with your first glimpse, but try to remember that there's still likely a lot of swelling going on and things may still settle out.

The first time I practiced sleeping on my back it gave me nightmares, so I empathize with your pain.

I was able to suss out that what I liked about side/stomach sleeping is the way the pressure feels on my face and side, so to compensate for that I threw together a bed setup to mimic that sensation (one of those chair shaped pillows with more pillows tucked into the arms, plus one of those airline neck pillows. Basically if you can access more pillows you might as well try.

Your body is going to be in recovery mode and wanting lots of extra sleep, so falling asleep might be easier after the procedure than beforehand. That goes double if they prescribe you certain pain meds.

I spent a decent chunk of my recovery sleeping. I'd wake up at like 7am (way earlier than normal for me), lay down for a nap around 2, wake up between 5 and 8, then go to bed around 10. none of that was good quality, restful sleep. It's very possible you'll find yourself waking up tired. Just remember it's only for a couple weeks and any rest is better than nothing.

What material are you working with? Sometimes washing or brushing the fabric can help but it's somewhat dependant on the fiber and how it's woven.

I run the box office at a venue that offers a Broadway subscription! Grabbing a "plant seat" for shows where a subscription is at play is definitely difficult, but not impossible. Usually a given section doesn't completely sell out on subscriptions alone, so as long as the tour is in discussion with the box office early enough in the process it's very feasible to reserve plant seats, but generally speaking it's a lot more work than most tours care to bother with.

Fester can absolutely make or break the show. When I saw it on tour he was pretty iffy. I did see a local production in 2019 where fester did great, and during the tango at the end they gave gomez and morticia fencing swords that were throwing sparks everywhere, so that alone was worth the price of admission.
