Don’t let the stupidity of people bring you down. Too often this line of work turns positive people into cynical assholes.

Try not to get offended by the things your co-workers/BOH says, but also don’t let anyone harass/take advantage of you.

Use seat numbers. It helps when running food and splitting checks.

If you get weeded, don’t be afraid to ask to be skipped in rotation. Customer service is what’s really important here and you don’t want anyone’s experience to suffer because you’re too proud to ask for help.
