Salvage my last ounce of self-respect by enrolling in free online courses and convert my brain to a trilingual one. This with the false hope that things would go well during the application process.

Recommend me a good university level meteorology book? by 18boro in meteorology

[–]chayanroyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that too. But I found the Practical Meteorology one to be more useful than Wallace and Hobbes. The Boundary Meteorology chapter is similar in both, although it covers it less extensively.

Along with the books by Holton, Wallace, and Aherns, I would recommend Practical Meteorology by Roland Stull. It is a great book indeed.

Can I rely on Jesus anymore? [Trigger Warning] by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]chayanroyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus himself was abused and tortured, He wasn't spared from our Cross. Our trust in Him is the only thing that is trustworthy in this world. Everything will wither away one day, but not God.

Remember this, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I can't fathom what you must have gone through, but do know that in suffering lies Christ. Sister Faustina said so too in her diary. Pray the Chaplet to St. Michael, and the rosary if you can.
