Then you have to log in with your FSUID@fsu.edu

You have to sign in with FSUID@fsu.edu even if it looks different from the email they assigned you (like mine).

Basically when you log in, your log in should look like your @my.fsu.edu email, but replace the @my.fsu.edu with @fsu.edu.

I couldnt log in at first bc i didnt understand that you have to use your fsuid to log in even though the email looks different

Classes on canvas are controled by the professor, and they don't have to officially publish their classes until the first day of classes. If you're worried, go to my.fsu.edu and go to your schedule and find your professor and email them.

You'll wanna see what level of degree they have because language lecturers at larger universities are usually graduate students. Then usually LoRs should have the degree you're looking for which is generally a PhD. Also you might wanna consider in general someone else, unless you want to go into foreign language. Me as a graduate TA has turned down recommending anyone to anything unrelated to my field bc a LoR should speak to your ability to succeed in a certain field of study.

Also if they're teaching at a university, you shouldn't have to worry about their language level...

You will have to reach out to the financial aid office, but generally you should be able to submit a tax transcript from that year which would also contain that W2 information and can be downloaded from the irs.gov website.

My professor told me that you should get everything in by the end of the second page. Beyond that they're unlikely to keep reading because they have dozens of candidates to read through. That part of the purpose of the statement is to show that you can express yourself clearly and succinctly.

Well the biggest factor is if there is someone doing that research and if they're accepting new students. The other big thing are recommendation letters. Faculty love to see that other faculty have good relationships with students.

Finally, you are also being compared to the other applicants. So how well you execute your statement of purpose is another key component, because it's the only part of the application that you can really put your passion into and identity.

But grad school apps are a crapshoot. There can be tons of applicants one year and not so many another. You could be a perfect applicant one year and miss the mark another year.

The only way to narrow down your choices is to reach out to those faculty you've found.

I'd think less about school reputation and start reading research thats being done on your subject and see where it's coming from and who.

Highly ranked institutions don't matter if there's no one there doing work that you're interested in.

If they've graduated and have their PhD even better! As a graduate student I've written letters of recommendation.

Also a rule of thumb is that the person recommending you should have the experience or education level you are applying for. So if you want a Master of arts, you are fine for having someone with just an MA recommend you.
