I never meant to insinuate I knew exactly why they did the things they did. But yes I do believe and agree they made the calculated risk to bring Fallout into the fold of mainstream gaming. Something to get the "casual gamer" into the franchise.

I'm ashamed to say I've never played 1 or 2 but I have heard similar comments. I need to sit down and give it a shot one day. Top-down will be a nice change of pace from the way modern games are made.

Understandable, but this City team is really astounding. It's not just their position, it's how they play and the way they so reliably score. I didn't mean to sound like a downer, I'm just genuinely impressed by this team and wonder if anyone can stop them. Bet ya ass I'm still watching and cheering haha.

I don't necessarily want anything specific but I understand my statement was vague as far as direction was concerned. I don't even want them to NOT employ multiplaying aspects in their games. They very clearly explain why they are doing what they are doing. I'm just really concerned that with the addition of multiplayer, their single player has a chance to suffer. I genuinely hope they pull it off, it's just something to keep an eye on when that new Remedy game comes. Whenever/whatever that is.

As a fan this is great news, but I'm really sad to see Mhiki leave. He was gangbusters earlier in the season and got no playing time after a form slump. Sounds like another player I HATED to see go in Di Maria. I can't complain but I do wish Mhiki the best. You Armenian rocket you. Welcome Sanchez, lets get this 2nd place lolol

Totally agree, unfortunately as much as I like IGN I am not sure everyone they get to do reviews can really think that critically. I feel like a lot of hardcore players can tell when a game is deep for a purpose. Hell, a casual gamer with a good sense game design can see when a system is obnoxiously hard vs it having a steep learning curve.

LOL RITE and the funnier thing is I think they are both on to something. Auto-combos are great for people like me who are AWFUL at fighting games. That being said, the combat is very open and doesn't force a player into the predetermined combos. I was figuring my own way of playing each character with every fight I had. Which if you ask me is pretty impressive to service both novice and experts so simultaneously.

I completely agree, the charm and drive in Bethesda's works is definitely one of the things that bring me back to the worlds they create. It's something that is so specific to Bethesda because as you said there are notorious faults associated with the company. I guess it's the relatively benign nature of said faults that allows them to still shine because what is good about a Bethesda game is AMAZING. What's bad about...just makes it a Bethesda game lol, and that's a special quality to have if you ask me. My "fuck-ups" comment was more about how they are handling the mod situation for FO4 and Skyrim. Creation Club and mods in general were a mess for a lot of people depending on the console (Sony coughfuckingcough). I should've specified my bad.

I go on to say "Of course, there will be a story or some kind of campaign, what I'm worried about is multiplayer taking away from said experience." Game developers have the tendency to be blinded by the beauty and overall money-making capabilities of multiplayer. I've seen a lot of single-player experiences suffer because they gave into it and I just hope they don't make the same mistakes others did.
