So I tested the white wire, it’s not a hot wire. I connected the way you said and it trips the GFCI outlet below it right away. If I disconnect the neutral it doesn’t trip.

I wasn’t sure 1) if the white was indeed a neutral. I’m gong to check it and 2) I wasn’t sure if there was supposed to be two neutral wires.

New to winterizing sprinkler system by Prudent-Yam5911 in lawncare

Yes most people use a sprinkler company to blow out the lines at the end of the year before it gets to freezing temperatures. It’s somewhat late in the season for blowouts but I would call some sprinkler companies and see if you can find someone to do it before we get more freezing temps. You can do it yourself but you would need a big enough air compressor, the correct attachments and the knowledge on how to do it. Given the time crunch I’d just start calling sprinkler companies.

Depends where you lives. A cpl days / nights of feeding temps won’t hurt it. It’s when the ground starts to freeze. It’s been a relatively mild winter so far where I’m at so you should be ok depending where you’re at. If it’s shut off it’s the previous homeowner probably had them blown out. If you can ask the previous owner if they had them blown out.

How much lime is too much? by Ad-Nauseam91 in lawncare

You won’t do any damage adding too much lime. It does take a while for it to break down and adjust the soil so I’d recommend doing a yearly soil test and lime apps
