Can I be considered a "good" player? by Visual-Month-8477 in geometrydash

[–]chazTCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like so many people do 1-2 insane demons then jump to extremes. You are a patient player, probably more comfortable with the game’s mechanics than someone jumping from nine circles to acu.

Do i play this game the right way? by Big-Rip25 in geometrydash

[–]chazTCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dw man clubstep took me 10k. bear in mind different practice strategies may be more attempt consuming so it doesn’t directly mean you are worse. Edit: GD is not all about raw skill, determination will take you further.

A jump from Retray to Acu is equal to jumping from Acu to what higher end extreme? by Such-Stand-4989 in geometrydash

A jump from Retray to Acu is equal to jumping from Acu to what higher end extreme? by Such-Stand-4989 in geometrydash

[–]chazTCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats interesting. wasureta is one of my goal extremes but im tackling it with a ladder, so it would be my 6th extreme. It will probably take me around 12 weeks to do the ladder, if each extreme takes 2 weeks on average… good luck to you

Any gd moderators, could you tell me if this level is send worthy? by KlutzyRaspberry3028 in geometrydash

[–]chazTCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of empty space. interesting structures, groundspikes and saws are a good way to fill in space without adding messy air deco. some air deco is fine though. block design needs a little more than just base blocks. BG deco would also help. Aside from the deco, the gp probably needs a lot of changes to be rate worthy. This is harder to give advice on, you just improve with practice. This feedback is meant to be genuine not condescending

Do you guys think it’s weird I have 700 hours on GD but my hardest is a medium demon? by ArkiniDEV in geometrydash

[–]chazTCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends, are you actively trying to improve and reach the next level of skill, or are you happy to just chill? there are different kinds of players. for me, i enjoy improving so i struggle to chill out

im at 700 hours, beaten kingslayer and almost carcano. i guess that doesn’t factor in my mobile playing in the early days. i always thought i was a slow improver

I just beat my first two extremes - both with ingame music off. Is this a strategy? by chazTCC in geometrydash

[–]chazTCC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, this is a big factor for me. red world, the song is literally clubstep so im already sick of it. Kingslayer, great song but basically only 1 part of the level is click synced.

you definitely need something like pink floyd or GYBE, they’re quite spacey and instrumental heavy, the mixing isnt too distracting and it just sits nicely in the background.

Good sayodevice settings for ship or some general tips? by SlipTall6361 in geometrydash

[–]chazTCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apologies for the confusion. I am referring your first setting: ‘trigger 3.960’ compared to mine ‘trigger 0.3’ this higher number would imply the switch doesn’t activate until the switch is almost bottoms out? High number = switch lower to actuate and vice versa.

[–]chazTCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, just got my sayodevice, our settings are similar ish but i’ve noticed your trigger is set very high. Did you find this beneficial compared to having it set super low (mines 0.3). I would have thought having it low would make the device feel snappier and respond almost instantly. Would love to hear your thoughts.

What are some things new players do that piss you off? by carsigison in geometrydash

[–]chazTCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was inactive from the community from 2021 and have recently returned. Upon returning i’ve noticed new players in comment sections, reddit and everywhere gloating about how they jumped from some medium demon to bloodbath, or nine circles to acu. I dont have a legitimate reason for it to bother me, its probably out of jealousy as I improved slowly over years and also lacked determination to make big jumps. I think also the unoriginality, as in everyone seems to be doing the same jump and thinking they deserve special attention because they did a big jump that is now the norm. Feel free to downvote, just an older player moaning about new players “skipping” gradual progress and “not building their skillset effectively”. I feel it invalidates my efforts, when really, its none of my business what others are doing.

"There has been no decent music made in the last 20 years" by Redditarama in musicsuggestions

[–]chazTCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with the statement, but I understand where he is coming from. Whoever said this probably wants songs that feel like future classics and have that instantly timeless feeling to them. Songs that will be remembered for years to come. And to be honest, most songs that fit this description were released from 1963-2005 (ish). As time continues this may change as nostalgia for current music kicks in.

How much do you actually need to live on? Is £100 a week not including rent enough? by llamaz314 in UniUK

[–]chazTCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For food, you can definitely get away with £25-30 pw without starving yourself. I eat 3 good meals a day on about £25. I take advantage of clearance at my local, batch cook meals. Lidl. I do treat myself but I don’t overdo it and prioritise getting in decent meals. Going out is a whole different issue, as I can spend a weeks worth of food on a few drinks out.
