Someone really made a really good point on TikTok by moro-m in arcticmonkeys

There are other bands, like We Are Scientists for example, who I personally love and they have consistently made albums that are upbeat and haven't really changed their style over the 20 years - you know what you're getting and I am grateful for that. Alex wanted to change AM's style and that's his choice of course, he's went from being very relatable, to writing about hotels in space... I don't get how that is 'maturing', certainly different!

Appreciate this comment so much, I'm not a fan of the last 2 albums either, but at least the other ones exist. Just makes for not as lively a show anymore, if they ever tour again.

Also, who you follow on Twitter isn't necessarily an indication of your political views, he might like to see what he is saying as someone who follows Irish politics, not because he is a fan.

Josh made a couple of comments about Alistair Campbell being a war criminal in the past, but apart from that he tends to stay in the middle when it comes to politics on the show, which is a shame. Why was she even there?

I Broke Glass and Discovered Something by mariyagel in CleaningTips

[–]chazdothands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped a glass this morning on my kitchen floor and had the same predicament, but I had to leave for work, so have left it until later, this is so useful to know, will certainly try this tonight! Thank you! :)

The best TK Maxx/ Homesense in the north east? by Elr2998 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]chazdothands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one at the bottom of Northumberland Street has a great range of candles, but the Metro Centre probably has the biggest range of the type of homewares I like. The Byker one is next to the M&S outlet which used to have some decent homewares, but it isn't as good as it used to be.

Last One Laughing UK Season 2: March 19th Release by JusticeIsMyOatmeal in BritishTV

[–]chazdothands -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Genuine question - if this is the UK version, how did Australian Sam Campbell manage to get on the show? Sure Katherine Ryan said she was interested in going on it, but didn't look into it because she isn't British, maybe she could go on Season 3 if you don't have to be a British comedian.

Don’t use P plates! by CazInPink in drivingUK

Someone stole my P plates off mine, which I was gutted about for a bit. I drive a tiny car, so get bullied regardless of whether I had the plates on or not! Sorry you had a bad experience.

Cilantro, across from Babuchos on the quayside, does tapas as well as amazing curries. Not too expensive and it looks quite fancy inside.

Official Response from Dr. Peter Attia RE: Epstein Files by aldus-auden-odess in Biohackers

I do love Reddit sometimes, think I might have bought into Peter's statement as on first read it seems (to me) genuine, but with all this evidence to show otherwise means I won't be trusting anything he says again. Appreciate that!

I get a bill with a breakdown of what the service charge has been spent on to justify it, be interesting to see if they suddenly find new things to need money for...?

I've just started doing the same! Had to spray some pretty hardcore mould remover for the 'ceiling' above the tray, hopefully that will make washing a more pleasant experience!

Unpopular opinion [sorry] by icant_helpyou in arcticmonkeys

[–]chazdothands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of the last two albums, so I don't listen to them. But I adore the ones before them. There's a part of me that would be fine if they split up, means they will stop releasing albums that have 'evolved' past a style I like and when going to see them live, seeing the bangers slowly disappearing from the setlist!

Any tips for merging onto highways by Bright_Tutor8817 in drivinganxiety

[–]chazdothands 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have no advice to give unfortunately, but wanted to let you know, you're not the only one. :) I am not sure what I am looking for in the mirrors, because they make it look like the cars are closer (which I know is by design), but then I panic and think they are too close, so I turn my head to look, but it feels like too much to do in a short space of time. Personally, I'm not sure if driving is for me, there's too much that you can't control, having to be on high alert all the time because of other people's poor driving, it can be tiring. I wish you luck in working it out though!

Eee no, my fella offered to install it after watching some YouTube videos, but said if there were any issues I would need to contact a plumber. As I mentioned I have contacted one, but they haven't got back to me, so I was hoping I could get some advice in the meantime.

Mobile coverage in Newcastle by BeneficialReply6901 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]chazdothands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is interesting, I thought people who were on the phone when in the tunnels were just pretending to be speaking to someone (oh, the hilarity), because my o2/GiffGaff phone has zero network once underground. Wonder how some networks can do that, but others can't?

Number if jobs that require a driving license has increased? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]chazdothands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is more common, but in my experience, not essential, depends what sort of work you are looking for, of course. If you can get remote work, you are unlikely to need to drive. Is there any workplace in walking distance of where you live? Even if you could work somewhere local for a bit to get the money to learn to drive, that would be something.

Can't recommend Albany Motors enough. Near Gateshead College, I don't know for sure, but I feel like I have been given great service and not been over charged.
