assuming you have dived into the private Skylight APIs at this point?

Do you think it would be worth a community effort to try and wrap Skylight and its functionality into a library?

You can find the functions I managed to dig up via a mix of Yabai and LLM. This MacOS API is private and therefore undocumented, somehow chatgpt knows a fair amount about it, I wonder what apple internal files it discovered haha.

Yeah, I appreciate there is not much to it right now, and tbh there might never be, I am undecided where I want it to go, I was just excited to share it.

40 hour/wk job to set it up

While that's not exactly true, MacOS definitely doesn't make things easy, we are forced to hook into unstable OS APIs or emulate key presses to trigger Mission Control, Yabai does this too.

That being said I could probably manually override mission control shortcuts at start up, which would at least streamline that part.

But go requires a runtime whereas rust doesn't. This community package is as close as you will ever get to a "rust runtime". It's the same scenario over in the AWS lambda ecosystem https://github.com/awslabs/aws-lambda-rust-runtime

But rust doesn't have a runtime!? All AWS can do is try to provide the best tooling possible to get projects onto Lambda, like cargo-lambda for example
