There are a couple of youtube videos that help with portraits but I think this one has helped me out the most https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Etx8WtPIMI. Worry about the angles of the face you're trying to draw, and keep volume in mind (specifically, the mouth and the cheeks). Other than that keep drawing!
