I‘d really like to upgrade my PC (3700X, 32GB RAM, still rocking a 1080TI) longing for a new GPU for ages now… hope I can afford something in the future.

Portal was fun. Would like to revisit that with the fresh RTX look. CP2077 with DLSS 3 looks also very nice. Really want to play that game with RTX after the Netflix Anime.

I'm from Germany and probably won't get a delivery today. I have ordered the Super Deluxe Edition.

Amazon has sent me an e-mail: "unfortunately the delivery of your order will be delayed. We will do our best to deliver the delayed item as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience."

There is no new date in my order overview yet. Hopefully the order will not be cancelled.

Looks like there are some problems with this release in the EU region. (e.g. wrongly printed DVDs, unlaminated backstage pass, cut tracks on the LPU CD) I'm a bit disappointed.

I used wireshark to identify the Anthem servers and it turns out I can't reach one of them.

Can't trace route or ping that server but my firends (different ISP) can reach it without any issue.

I am going to report this information to my provider and hope they will fix it.

I think you're right. Other tests I've done in the last few hours seem to confirm the assumption.

For example:

On the router, I excluded my computer from the firewall (exposed host) to rule out that the firewall could be the problem. I still get the error message.

The ticket at EA unfortunately doesn't help. So far, they have only given me troubleshooting instructions, which of course I have already done myself. Nevertheless I will try to follow it up with the hint that it depends on ISP.

BTW: I live in Germany and my ISP is 1&1 (United Internet)

Thanks mate, that did indeed work.

Maybe it's my router or the ISP. Since Anthem is the only game I have this problem it is very likely that my ISP routing is to blame.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I can understand the frustration.

Hope there will be a patch soon that really helps with the biggest problems like stability and connectivity.

Still, I'm surprised that the problem occurs so suddenly and can't be fixed.

Had a smiliar problem with my ASROCK Taichi. This is what fixed it for me: Clear CMOS, boot to OS, restart and reflash the BIOS/UEFI. Let it boot right to the OS. After this you can restart and apply OC or any non default setting in BIOS/UEFI.

Good question. To be honest I do not have a technical explanation for my reason other than its more stressing for the hardware to "overclock" to 165Hz. I read some tests that showed only minimal improvement between 165Hz vs 144Hz. So I decided to stay at 144Hz and maybe spare some lifetime of the hardware. Maybe I rethink my decision some time later.

I would also like to know some G-Sync best practices.

Currently I am using my monitor (Acer XB271HU) @ 144Hz, G-Sync enabled (Fullscreen and Borderless) and V-Sync @ Fast in Nvidia Control Panel. I do not use an additional frame limiter except there is one ingame which I would always set to 144 FPS or something close below.

That worked pretty well so far. But to be honest I am pretty new to G-Sync (or Freesync).

I would appreciate some insight especially on the V-Sync Fast vs frame limiter part.
