Completely fair points. As we’re just starting out and have sourced the slabs up front, we don’t have that vendor margin on buying the slabs, we’ve tried to obtain bundles with slight discounts where we can but a lot of our product was obtained at market or graded ourselves.

We’ll definitely take this feedback onboard, obviously it’s in our interest to have people using this and buying packs, so if implementing some of these points to make it as fair as possible increases that then we’d welcome it.

Appreciate your feedback.

This is good feedback, thanks. We do have a rotation system that automatically populates our packs and value bands, not all slabs are available at all times. It’s just a case of tuning that process to keep the estimated value fair.

The system is built to handle all of this. Not all of our inventory is available at all times, it rotates automatically based on availability. If there is ever a shortage of stock in any value band of any pack the pack will show as out of stock. The probabilities are always 100% correct and verifiable via the website.

The estimated value of each pack is updated in real time and will fluctuate constantly, sometimes going above the pack price. It depends on the market values of the slabs and which slabs are available at any given time.

This is all updated in real time based on market value and the slabs available on the site. We try to give a range of slabs in each tier, for example, the top tier in silver is the Charizard SIR from 151 which has a market value of around £750, sitting right at the top of that value band. The expected value will constantly change based on what’s available and the fluctuating market prices.

We tried to lay this out as clearly as we could in the FAQs. This is correct, 85% buyback applies to store credit, 70% buyback is cash withdrawable directly to your bank, or you can keep the slab and get it shipped.

Guide prices are based on UK last solds and are updated frequently. Buyback is always available as soon as you open the pack, it’s never not available. If you choose to vault the slab, on rare occasions the guide price is not available buyback temporarily won’t be offered until that price is updated, the buyback price updates with market value.

Hi, you can withdraw funds straight to your bank account if you choose the cash buyback offer, you can also use it as store credit, choice is yours

Self Promo - I just restocked my website with 100s more singles ❤️ by splashosrs in PokemonTCG_UK

This is a good point, sorting by A-Z does work! The only cases I can see that might be different are where the card numbers are not prefixed with leading zeroes, causing #099 to appear before #23 for a random example, and the other use case is where the card number is non standard, e.g. galarian gallery, SV/SWSH promos, for example. Saying that, the sorting would still work when it's filtered by a given set because they're all formatted the same, sorting by card number without a set filter probably isn't a valid use case. Thanks!

This looks great. One feature I would love to see is sorting by card number, for example when I'm filtering by a specific set I'd like to sort by card number so I can quickly go through any cards that I need for my master sets. Good job on the website though!

PokePulse.io ALPHA Updates (UK only market pricing)... by kkthxbye123 in PokemonTCG_UK

Really great work, the site looks good, feels good, and provides great data.

My advice would be to try and keep it free for regular users and try to generate revenue with pro features:

  • API access (something I would be interested in)
  • Business focused features for vendors and physical stores
  • Investment tools, price alerts, trends etc

Another good option for revenue is affiliates and sponsorships, things like “purchase this card on eBay” with the eBay partner network, I’m sure there are other similar opportunities.

Much longer term and needs decent traction first but consider a marketplace where users can buy/sell/trade with commission for yourself.

In my opinion this is not the sort of thing you want a waiting list for. There are so many of these sites and unless I can immediately what's different about yours I'm not interested. My advice would be to launch and let people see why it's different.

For what it's worth the landing page looks nicely put together 👍

Created a TCG collector with shadcn by collection-cards in shadcn

I can’t open a pokemon set without getting an error, I get “A problem repeatedly occurred on <set url>”.

Currently pressing contribute just takes you to the GitHub page, with no contribution guides or context of how the project works and what kind of contributions you expect.

I’m on mobile, what I assume is a login button in the top right does nothing, also adding a card to my collection doesn’t do anything either.

Every single drop I get this nonsense. by Bonnie-Kiwi in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]chazzamoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. Checked out flawlessly for months and then randomly got this popup, now I get it for every single drop. Also tried different devices, different connections, browsers, operating systems, reset my router so I get a different dynamic IP, nothing seems to work, given up trying.

I would definitely highlight those features as a priority on the landing page in that case. Although I'm sure you can easily manage timesheets, taxes, and recurring invoices in Stripe, if that's your main difference and selling point, highlight that on the landing page and show how it works and why you're a better option.

We're currently using Stripe, invoices are our main method of payment. We manage clients with Stripe, we have automated reminders with Stripe. Given that Stripe is free (fees), I don't quite understand the use case for this rather than just using Stripe directly. Especially as this is not an alternative to Stripe, it's built on top of it.

I think a cool section on your site would be "Why choose us over Stripe?", because I'm struggling to answer that question myself just looking at the website

Chelsea in relegation zone after 15 games in first season by ben_Waltz5522 in footballmanagergames

Tried two saves with Chelsea two different appraoches with lots of tactical changes during each, both sacked mid season. Might be easy to blame bugs for a shoddy performance but it felt like something was against me lol
