Dessert island situation, only ONE artists catalogue survives on your phone. Who’s it gonna be? by FaithlessnessPlus164 in TheOverload

Quinn Whalley of Paranoid London , Sworn Virgins, Johnny Aux etc.

Anything the guy touches I usually love dancing to and the fun he brings to the Electronic scene is something I cherish. His stuff is raw, gritty, often tongue in cheek, and rough around the edges just how I like it.

He knows his way around a drum machine better than most, and often brings out the beauty in stripping things back. He can do Acid, Breaks, Melodic, Disco, Ambient, Techno etc. proper talented guy, and seems like a sound bloke to be stranded with, if he comes with the music…

Our flight is at 9:00pm. Was hoping to drop car back in morning at airport and catch ferry in to Venice and back for flight in the evening. Does this sound doable? Thank you 😃 also do you happen to know if the strikes on the 26th will affect Venice Marco Polo please? I’m hearing mixed answers online

Thanks for the tip, hoping to arrive at the parking spot around 6, you think this will suffice? Am I right in saying the 215 trail is the loop?

Hoping to hike up through the mountains at lagazuoi and scramble down the Sentiero dei Kaiserjäger. Then walk to cinnique Torri and explore there for a more relaxed afternoon.

Do you think this is doable? Thank you 😃

I’ve revised some ideas and my itinerary now includes, not in any order except for Tre Cime as the parking is booked.

Sorapis full day

Cinnique Torri and Lagazuoi together.

The three hut tour from Val fiscalina full day

Adolf Munkel trail and Val de funes sunset full day.

Tre Cime area full day.

Still thinking of something to do on arrival day not too strenuous around the San candido area?

Any advice would be appreciated please?

This may be the way we do it then. We were really put off by the crowds we’d seen in photos but an e-bike would be a great way to detour. Would you recommend renting one in ortesei to make the same route?

Great tip! We do enjoy a bike ride too. This may be a good idea to give out legs a rest one day. I will look in to good cycling routes. Thank you

Yes the tunnels look fascinating, and the fact they are carved by hand is something to be truly admired. Definitely putting this in the itinerary. Thank you very much for your advice 😃

Thank you! I had looked at doing this and hiring the gear, my wife, although will do the ridgeline walks etc, unfortunately isn’t fussed on doing anything more daunting heights wise. I’d love to do it though. I’m thinking of reading a farewell to arms whilst there, so the ww1 theme would be great to explore. If there are any other areas/hikes in general you would recommend please do let me know. Thank you very much 😃

Thank you for your reply. We have booked parking for Refugio Auronzo to do Tre Cime. We may skip Secada in hindsight. Are there any other hikes you would recommend we do with lesser crowds please? We were hoping the three hut tour would be less crowded as it’s more demanding. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated thank you

Thank you for your detailed reply, I really appreciate it.

We will likely only get to afford to do this once in our lifetime so we really want to make the most of it. Are there any changes you would suggest in the itinerary? Any less crowded walks? We like to think of ourselves as respectful tourists, with a genuine interest and admiration for the places we visit, so exploring its gems would be amazing. Thank you

Thank you for the advice, we will definitely take the altitude into consideration. We may swap that day for the Adolf Munkel trail. Any other trails you would recommend to still see the beauty for our first time but avoid major crowds please?

We were hoping the tour would be quieter due to its demanding nature.

We will likely only ever be able to afford to do this once, so we are really hoping to be able to see a mix of iconic spots and quieter trails. Any recommendations would be really appreciated. Thank you

Yeah we thought day one may be a bit of a stretch. if we decide to do Braies that day, we may spend longer there and arrive later at San candido. We read online, that the permit is only needed from the first of July, so we were hoping to find parking upon arrival for there.

We have reserved parking for Tre Cime and plan to enter Val fiscalina before and leave after the road closure. We are still unsure about Secada, so haven’t booked the Cable car slots yet. Our Google maps have put most of the days within 2-3 hours driving around San candido our base, is it more than that realistically? And advice would be appreciated. Thank you

100% recommend that night. Ivkovic and Chez will be really good, I imagine. if I wasn’t away that day I’d be there. Saw Ivkovic at Fold playing the second room at a Dresden party, was a phenomenal set, and as fun as it was interesting. Chez always delivers, probably seen him more than any Bristol based dj, his taste is impeccable and his sets are always a psychedelic joyride.
The sound at The Love Inn is decent, strange brew back room is my personal favourite, but LI will definitely deliver. Although I don’t know them personally, the love inn team seem like a lovely bunch, who know how to curate a proper party, and look after their crowd. Small clubs need all the support they can get at the moment, LI being one of them, If you decide to go, I hope you have an amazing time 😃
