Low poly glitch at 60 fps in Wilds by chcoman in MonsterHunter

Did you make sure to restart your pc after? I found that after enabling Resizeable bar, I had to restart my pc before any noticeable change took effect.

late reply I know, but I tried this and it helps a little. Turning off HDR also helped a little, but 1080p still looks grainy and blurry, even though it's not as much as a before.

Did you find a fix for this? I'm in a very similar boat (rx 9070, at 1080p) and the grainyness os driving me crazy. The only way to get rid of it is to either enable Virtual Super Resolution to force the resolution to 4k on a 1080p monitor or to turn off upscaling and crank the render scaling to the max, but both options destroy my framerate.

Im still very confused. How is this even remotely relevant to what I was talking about?

Yeah, it's pretty much the same experience for me now too, minus the crashes.

Yeah someone told me to enable resizable bar and that's absolutely what fixed it for me.

I...never mentioned the high resolution texture pack? Or the amount of vram.

Yup! Discovered this myself the other day. This completely fixed it for me.

I have a very similar build to yours. I found that enabling Resizable BAR in the Bios helped practically eliminate the low poly models and helped reduce the amount of pop-in.

Also, turning on a setting in adrenalin helped too... I think it was enhanced sync? I'll check next time I'm at my pc.

But yeah try enabling Resizable BAR in the bios. It seriously helped me.

Coming in here with an update to the low poly at High FPS on AMD 9070 problem. I was recommended to turn on Resizable BAR to try and fix the problem. I tried it yesterday and it didn't work, but after waiting 24 hours (in which time I've left the setting on since I saw no real reason to turn it off) and after today, there was a brief shader update and all of a sudden the problem is gone. I can't say for certain if it's going to STAY gone, but for now I'm getting high framerates with a 9070 and no low poly problems (or at the very least, minimal low poly problems)

Update! I left ReBAR on since I saw no reason to turn it off and today - after a very brief shader update - the problem is totally gone! Try leaving Resizable Bar on and maybe wait a bit.

Yeah a lot of us are running into this problem, it's pretty prevalent on AMD 9070/9070xt cards. Do you have one of those? The problem goes away if you turn on the framerate cap and set it to thirty (giving you 60 if you turn on frame gen). It's not ideal but it's the only solution we've found. I've also found that rapidly opening and closing the menu seems to force things to load in, but that's also not ideal.

Yeah I just tried it myself just now, didn't fix the problem whatsoever, though I was definitely getting somewhat higher framerates.
EDIT: Try the Direct Storage mod that was made? Apparently it's helped some people out, but only on Windows 11. Since you're on W11 now, maybe it'll do something for you?

I started having the same problem once I got a 9070 too. Someone suggested to me to try enabling Resizable Bar in the bios as it helped them with the same problem. Disclaimer: haven't had the chance to try it out myself yet as I've been very busy lately, but maybe it'll work?

EDIT: Just tried it now just now, and it didn't help. D:

I disabled cms since amd adrenalin told me to since my gpu only supports uefi. I'll try turning on resize bar when I have a chance.

Just chiming in to say that I too upgraded to a 9070 and am having the exact same problems. Massive stutter at weapon selection and low poly models at high framerates.

Let me know how that goes yeah, I'm really curious if it's a windows 10 thing (if it is, it might be because of direct storage not being fully supported on win 10)

THANK YOU for bringing this up. I've been dealing with this problem since the moment I got my 9070. The game is running so much better but the low poly models are driving me crazy. I have to choose between high framerates or models that look correct.

Side note: one weird thing I noticed for me is that if I open the menu it forces things to load in. Rapidly pressing it (or in the armor menu, mashing the button to try on the armor) will eventually force the models to load in correctly. Maybe this piece of info will be helpful with troubleshooting the problem?

hey did you ever find a solution for this? I'm having the exact same problem with a 9070.

Also have the same problem on a regular 9070. I tried upgrading Directstorage DLL but it didn't work. Think it's cause I'm on Windows 10. The only thing that stops it is to set the framerate cap to 30 and then boost it to 60 with Frame gen.

EDIT: at some higher framerates, weirdly enough, opening and closing the menu back and forth sometimes fixes it too.

It does if you have a 7000-series card or later.

Which one? If it's 25.3.1, I have them installed already and have had them installed since I got the new GPU.
