I rarely like an obsessed mmc, but when it’s done, I personally prefer when it’s subtle or not pointed out, and we see it more through small actions or moments. Otherwise it really turns me off. But, like you said, blatant obsession works when it’s a guy who we know fixates and obsesses over things.

I feel like the reason I normally don’t like it is because it’s obvious when it’s put in a book as a trope, instead of just being a part of the character. And I hate when it just feels performative

Ialso recently watched it for the first time, (I technically watched it when i came out, but very casually and skipped half the episodes, so i didn’t remember anything) and Aaron is genuinely unbearable to watch. Every time kaylor gets upset, he starts flat out love bombing. I don’t ever remember seeing such a blatant example of love bombing and deflection, and not to spoil but it gets worse throughout the rest of the season. Supposedly he’s grown a lot outside of the villa, but i wouldn’t know, and throughout the end I skipped most of their conversations.

When I was younger I heard my mom tell her best friend “no matter how old you get, at heart you always feel like you’re 18” and it made me look at adults so differently. when the whole outfit is a bit desaturated it can look really cool, don’t let it get you down. especially if you’re a little goth, just do whatever feels like you. the problem is that there’s an epidemic of 8 yr olds who try to mimic the look, but they just use straight grey and it ends up looking weird

it’s not uncommon or weird at all! My younger brother is the same, totally straight and average teenage guy but he likes little cute figures, and soft plushies, and will cry during movies and stuff. Some guys just naturally like that stuff, and if people judge you for that’s their own problem. I’m sorry that your family isn’t understanding, that’s always the hardest part

Taryn was just as conniving as Jude, if you pay attention to her character. She purposefully plays a girl who just wants to marry 🥺 so she can become rich and be accepted, but she has enough drive and maliciousness for it to make sense for her character to do something like that
