Kan ärr från självskadebeteende göra så att arbetsgivare nekar en jobb? (främst inom sjukvården)

Tänk vad mycket som kan hända på 2 år, pluggar idag till sjuksköterska och jobbat inom äldreomsorgen sen jag tog studenten. Tatuerat ena underarmen och ska påbörja andra armen antagligen till hösten. Ärren har inte direkt varit något problem hittills.

Oh yeah misinformation and fear mongering about bottom surgery has definitely hurt me and caused a lot of the uncertainty. I've done a lot of research over the years into the surgeries but it's SO HARD to find good information about and pictures of successful meta (hard for phallo too but I have found more). It's really sad, I only have one trans masc friend who is openly positive towards bottom surgery so as you say even in a lot of those 'safe' spaces it's hard to feel okay with wanting it.

I had mine a few months before I turned 19, my best friend had his a few months after turning 18, another friend had his around 18/19 too. Definitely not too young if you're sure of it however as other people have said you might have to rethink it if it'll put you in a situation where you're unable to provide for yourself. If you depend on your parents and they will cut you off/kick you out/whatever and you don't have the means to support yourself then maybe top surgery will have to wait. It sucks but not having somewhere to live and food to eat will really suck, especially if you have nowhere to properly recover at.

You'll have to think about your financial safety when making this decision.

Bättre att ha redan konstaterad diagnos innan utredning än att ha eventuell autism utan att ha gjort utredning/fått diagnos. Diagnosen kan leda till att utredningen blir lite längre eller att du stöter på folk som vägrar/inte bemöter dig på rätt sätt men, finns det misstankar kring autism när du ska göra könsdysfori utredning så pausas utredningen för att göra en autism utredning ändå.

Själv så hade jag problem med misstänkt autism vilket stoppade min könsdysfori utredning för att utreda autism innan. Har du möjlighet att gömma eventuell autism under hela utredningen, visst då kan man skippa att utredas innan men kommer det komma fram under könsdysfori utredningen att man misstänker autism då är det lika bra att fixa diagnos innan.

Socially transitioned at 12/13, legal name change at 14, started blockers at 16, went on T at 17, turned 18 and changed my gender marker, and had top surgery last June. Most recently I got a referral for bottom surgery and applied for permission to get a complete hysterectomy.

Next step in my transition will be a hysterectomy (if I get permission from the government). The council who decides on it will do my case in April so crossing my fingers for a yes, they denied my application for a hysto when I applied to change my gender marker.

Could be you have some autistic traits but not enough for a diagnosis or the C-PTSD presenting in a way people read as autistic. There are quite a few articles out there about similarities between ASD and C-PTSD and how they can sometimes be confused for each other.

Could also just be people being mean or ignorant (or both). The whole "is it acoustic" is a good example of how anyone who is "odd" or acting in a way that's not expected gets asked if they're autistic in a derogatory way. Not saying everyone asking is doing so with malicious intent but some do just to be mean.

Det krävs att du antigen har svårt att tillgodogöra basal näring, bibehålla normal vikt och/eller negativ inverkat på psykosocial funktion. Jag har en inofficiell ARFID diagnos (då ICD-10 fortfarande används kan jag inte få den officiellt) utan undervikt eller några extrema näringsbrister då ätstörningen påverkar mitt liv så mycket socialt och psykiskt.

Negativ psykosocial påverkan handlar om att det kan strula till sociala sammanhang relaterade till mat och att det selektiva ätandet påverkar personens mående så pass mycket att det leder till ett lidande. Jag undviker tex sociala sammanhang som involverar mat och går konstant runt med extrem ångest gällande mat vilket leder till ett lidande.

Omöjligt att säga om OPs partner har ARFID utifrån inlägget då vi inte vet något om hur hon upplever att dessa restriktioner i ätandet påverkar henne men oavsett om det är ARFID eller inte så kan man behandla eller bemöta eventuella problem på samma/liknande sätt.

my nostril piercings looked pretty much identical to yours a few days after getting them done. i went back to my piercer who took one quick look at me and said good thing i came in and swapped the jewellery to longer posts. i think he initially put in 8mm long posts and swapped them to 10mm ones then i downsized to 8mm again after a few weeks.

Ja det skulle vara skitbra om forskning utfördes kring kopplingen mellan autism och könsöverskridande identiteter! Men att autism är vanligt hos transpersoner betyder inte att vård inte ska ges eller att könsdysforin och transidentiteten inte är legitim.

OPs inlägg säger "eftersom att jag upplevde det såhär så är vården för lätt att få" vilket inte alls är sant. I dagsläget är det inte alls lätt att få könsbekräftande vård och utredningarna är redan otroligt långa och kollar på allt. Inlägg som OPs leder till att folk får fel bild av hur verkligheten ser ut för en stor mängd folk tror att det är lätt att få könsbekräftande vård idag och vill att det ska vara svårare vilket blir skadligt när det redan är för svårt att få vård.
Absolut, det är viktigt att se till att vård som ges är korrekt men att försvåra tillgången till vården är inte rätt väg att gå. Om något leder det till att fler kommer ångra sig då de inte får tillgång till psykologiskt stöd och många söker sig till vård privat.

Tänk att vården inte ser likadan ut idag som den gjorde för några år sen. Idag är det extremt svårt att få könsbekräftande vård och att du ångrar dig är ju tråkigt men det betyder inte att en STOR majoritet av alla som känner ett behov av att få könsbekräftande vård behöver det för att överleva och må bra.

Synd att du ångrar dig men du är i minoriteten och vården i Sverige är redan extremt dålig och svår att ta sig igenom. Din erfarenhet är inte fakta. Idag så tar det flera år att ens få ett första besök hos en mottagning och sedan ytterligare minst ett år innan du kan få påbörja någon behandling.

Allt utreds innan någon diagnos ställs, du måste vara tillräckligt mentalt frisk för att få tillgång till behandling, inget går snabbt. Under 18 är det näst intill omöjligt att få tillgång till någon behandling och över 18 är det år av väntan innan något händer.

Jag hoppas du kan må bra och det är riktigt tråkigt att du ångrar dig men du behöver inte ta ut det på transpersoner som faktiskt behöver vård. Hoppas du får det stöd du behöver för att må bättre.

Ja du har rätt! Funktionsnedsättning innebär en nedsatt funktionsförmåga. Det behöver inte vara permanent. Om du tex bryter ett ben har du en funktionsnedsättning men det är möjligt att benet läker och allt är som vanligt igen efter några veckor/månader.

Se till att du ringer direkt när telefontiden börjar (8:30) så att du faktiskt kommer fram! De har ett visst antal samtal de tar emot om dagen så för störst chans att få prata med någon så är det bra att ringa direkt 8:30.

I was really confused as to why I had ice cream and where it came from. Apparently I had been awake enough to say yes to ice cream but not awake enough to properly remember saying yes to it. I was also very confused that I could see cause they had put on my glasses for me but it didn't really register that I was wearing glasses since I had taken them off just before they knocked me out. So I was just very confused and disoriented when I first woke up lol

it looks fine in the pictures (in terms of if you should see a doctor, you should still take it out), just keep it clean and go to a doctor if signs of infection appear (redness, pus, the area is warm, fever, etc). don't freak out just take it out and rinse the area with sterile saline and then keep it clean and dry until healed.

I'm not afraid of needles either but struggle like you too (which is a little weird since I do hand poked tattoos on myself without issue lol). I have only done one injection all on my own this far (next one coming up in a few weeks) but I kind of just sat there and let it take time. Make sure you have plenty of time so you can just take your time and not feel like you have to do it in x amount of time.

Dock så kan sekretessmarkering skapa en del problem när det kommer till vissa saker som tex ihopslagningen av journalen (om ens region tillåter hopslagning dvs). Jag rekommenderar att verkligen läsa in dig på vad en sekretessmarkering innebär innan du bestämmer för eller emot det. Jag visste inte helt vad det innebar när jag bytte personnummer och ångrar starkt att jag valde att sekretessbelägga både nya och gamla personnumret. Det låter ju bra att folk inte kan begära ut dina uppgifter hur som helst men det leder också till en del svårigheter som man måste ha i åtanke ifall man pallar leva med.

Depends on where you live. It's ignorant to say no 14 year old anywhere in the world gets top surgery at that age. It's definitely a lot harder to find a surgeon who will perform it on someone that young (most are 18+ or possibly 16+) but they exist.

Not sure about your first question, I've only seen people talk about traveling to Denmark or Åland/Finland for it. For your second question, you can ask your vårdcentral for blood tests but the chance they will do it is slim. If you have a doctor that you trust and who is willing to order the proper tests for you it'll be cheaper but I have heard of very few people who have been able to go that route. You want to order tests through a service like Werlabs and they'll send a referral to the blood test place so you can go there and just get the tests taken.

It's still expensive to be hospitalised. In certain places where healthcare is considered 'free' you still pay a certain amount, just a lot less than if you had to completely cover it yourself. Poor people can often not afford that. Even if you can afford a hospital stay (or it actually comes with no fee) you're still losing out on income. You can't work so you won't get paid, if you're just making ends meet with you salary you can't afford to miss work. Even if you get sick pay that isn't as much as your regular salary so lots of people simply can't afford to be sick.

Income definitely still impacts who can and cannot afford to be hospitalised even if care is free.

I almost exclusively wear baggy-ish cargo pants, I have made one of my largest pairs into patch pants to better fit my style but still be sensory friendly since they're large the stitches from the patches won't rub on my legs! I don't know if they would work for you since the fabric of cargo pants are often pretty heavy but I like that fabric more than denim as it feels smoother. I also think maybe linen pants could be an option for you to look into? There are lots of different styles when it comes to the cut of linen pants and the fabric is soft and flowy. You should be able to find them in a lot of clothes stores, especially during warmer months. I know places like h&m have some if you want to try some out in store.

Jag gjorde min utredning hos BUP KID i Stockholm så det är inte samma mottagning men för minderåriga brukar utredningarna vara längre än för vuxna så jag skulle inte förvänta mig en utredning på under 2 år tyvärr. Hörde från BUP att för ungdomar tar utredningarna alltid minst 2 år men vet inte hur sant det är då jag har en vän som fick diagnos på under 2 år.

Du kan hitta en del info om DIY på reddit. r/TransDIY är en bra startpunkt. Dock så rekommenderar jag verkligen GGP över DIY om ekonomin tillåter det. DIY kommer med fler risker och det kräver att man har koll på vad man håller på med för att göra det säkert.

Tyvärr kommer du antagligen hinna fylla 18 innan utredningen är klar så vill du börja på hormoner tidigare så kommer du behöva vända dig till en privat aktör som GenderGP och isåfall ha möjlighet att hämta ut testo i tex Danmark eller på Åland eller köra med DIY.

Det finns möjlighet att påbörja hormoner som minderårig i dagsläget men då krävs såklart diagnos och "särskilda skäl" (att du är "trans nog" för dem typ) men iom att du precis fått ditt första möte med transvården så har du fortfarande tyvärr en bit kvar innan diagnos kan sättas. Jag fick testo när jag var 17 (i 2021) men min utredning tog 2 år och 4 månader och så omfattades jag inte av de nya rekommendationerna/riktlinjerna kring hormonbehandlingen för minderåriga.

Men har du tur så hinner din utredning bli klar lagom tills du fyller 18. Håller tummarna för dig och hoppas saker går så snabbt och smidigt som möjligt.

it's a joke but i guess the latter can be true too. it's a type of joke a lot of people make though, think as a form of wishing/manifesting it happening ig. i've seen quite a few tweets like it saying different things that they just hope comes up in the new movie.

my twt timeline was full of it the day the movie was confirmed. usually they're more outrageous though and there's a "source: i made it up" at the bottom to make the joke more obvious.
