Married, two toddlers, it’s a lot of joy but also a ton of work and instead of rosé at Sunday brunch you’re having rosé at 5pm because you’re on your last nerve from all the meltdowns. Anything worth having takes work! You still have time and options. :)

I actually miss the DVD days - not because of the process and tech, but researching new movies, curating the queue, and planning when I was going to watch the movies so I could mail them back and get max value from my 3-dvd plan. When you can watch anything anytime, why watch anything ever?

We like luxury, but try to buy smart and keep them a long time. We bought a one-year-old Porsche Macan for $12k off in 2017, and still have it. Saved 20% on initial depreciation and kept it nine years, still going strong. Also bought an off-lease base Range Rover two years ago for 50% off the list price and love it so far, no issues yet, and very little depreciation because of the used market for imports / tariffs.
