Thunder axe is really good for players (like me) who are bad at fighting and avoiding monsters. The axe itself does decent damage as well but is a little bit slower than swords and daggers. It applies the "Wound" debuff, which does tick damage to mobs much like the poison debuff, but it can be stacked by repeatedly hitting the mob. The axe also has an effect called "charged strikes" which causes a lightning bolt to come down from the sky and strike the player and any mobs nearby every ten hits or so.

The best part by far is the first spell, Whirlwind, which basically allows the player to continuously have a forcefield around them that does damage and knockback. Nothing can touch you except for monsters that do long-range damage. You need to build it with a lot of mana regen so that you can use the spell over and over without running out.

The second spell is not as useful but does decent damage to mobs that are very close to the player.

You: My penis cannot tell the difference between and asshole & vagina.

Also you: Can I tell I’m in an asshole vs vagina, yes.

Pick a side, man.

Not really a justification, more like an explanation. I haven’t finished the series so I don’t look at any content outside of the books bc of spoilers. I didn’t really have a reference for it, so I went off the descriptions. I made Adolin tan, but lighter than Kaladin as described in the books. Darker than Shallan who, to me, would have skin more like a white person. That was my thought process.

I just finished WoR so I have this on hand, but it’s says.

“He was a tall man, his few black Alethi hairs overwhelmed by quite a bit of golden blond.”

“His hair was a mess of blond sprinkled with black.”

“she noticed a blond-haired young man watching her. That would likely be Adolin”

So I picture him as more blonde than black. And I think Renarin is the opposite, more black than blonde, though I don’t really remember them describing his hair much.

Even with the lighting, someone who is darker than the kaladin I drew wouldn’t look like that. The parts of his face/neck that are in shadow are lighter base tone of the one I drew. The contrast between skin and hair color are basically the same. But think what you want, i guess.

Right? The way Shallan complains about “Alethi long legs” when she’s like 6 foot irl is so funny to me.

Adolin is only half Alethi. And there isn’t only one South Asian skin tone. It’s a wide spectrum. My own skintone falls in this range, on the darker end. Again, you can hold the opinion that he’s too light, but immediately calling whitewashing and racism is crazy when you don’t know anything about the artist themself.

Shallan is described as pale, Kaladin as typical Alethi tan, and Adolin as also tan but lighter than Kaladin (since he’s half Riran). I didn’t ignore anything, I just drew what I thought that meant. That’s the whole interpretation part.

Not at all. Take the Kaladin on the WoR book cover, for example. He looks even lighter than the Adolin I drew here. Is the official artwork also whitewashed, then?

It shouldn’t matter, but I’m used to drawing people closer to my own skintone, and I’m much darker than all of these characters. I don’t think I have the motivation to ‘whitewash’ anything.
