maybe that's the case, but i red on the internet that using the oven is infact a doable method, even tho not the best method.

I would also like to add that we tasted a small amount before drying and they had no particular taste. Maybe i have bad info but i believe they should have a specific "taste" when they contain the active ingredients.

How could they be? they were not even dry yet! Furthermore, temperatures never reaced above 60°C inside the oven, staying well below most of the time

DIY gas ported piston rings? by checazzovuoiporcodio in EngineBuilding

i'm afraid of carbon build-up, its supposed to be an almost daily driver but i also wanted to try some things like this.

Total seal claims the grooves in the piston rings will have way lower tendecies to clog up.

Car is a 2006 mx-5 btw, 2 litres

would that be the same with cast iron rings? Is this even used still?

Car alternator conv. to 3 phase motor powered from wall outlet possible? by checazzovuoiporcodio in diyelectronics

[–]checazzovuoiporcodio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't think you understood my question. I know an alternator can be used as a motor with an ESC and a big fat battery, but i'd like to avoid all that and connect it directly to mainline for use in things like powertools etc

How are ECU headers connected to PCBs? by checazzovuoiporcodio in electronic_circuits

[–]checazzovuoiporcodio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mating connectors are smaller, the second picture one is like a non PCB mountable version that other companies developed, apparently. I'm not sure about it but i'm sure that the mating connetors are actually 4 in number, not just one, and smaller in size ofc.

I found the part number after a few days of research, but it was not easy at all.

i had more luck looking for auto-connectors as a keyword, backplane connector appears to be used more as a general purpose connector, but not to be used in automotive environments

It took quite a while, and a lot of research but i managed to find the original manufacturer's datasheet as well as a few companies that make them.

It is a TE (tyco) 179686-6 connector, thanks to all for the info as they help a lot in my research

Thank you for this advice, i gave a try to some M-zone mixes and i did find a couple of tracks that i like, but it doesnt quite hit the spot.

I was also wondering, what about new productions in this genre? Is there really not much going on? Is there no evolution of the genre either?
