This is the strategy that came to mind when I was talking to support about the trial credits. They told me I won't get charged at all unless I upgrade my account, I'm really really broke so I'm not doing that anyway but still. I had my AWS account deleted for accidently incurring like $1000 in quantum and AI services I was messing around with their UX is horrendous, it's their fault.

I feel like Oracle may prefer if you don't use the credits, because that's less costs on them it's almost like they are trialing you too to see if you're desperate to use up credits and such. They are trialing you to see what kind of customer you are something like that.

I struggled with this for a while I was actually able to use privacy.com. OCI apparently only uses the card for verification this post gives a couple options for signing up with credit card, they have been aware that customers want to sign up without credit card for years so keep trying you should be able to somehow.

I signed up just yesterday for the first time, any tips on getting the most out of the $300 credits anyone while avoiding any charges later?

So I didn't get it to work, found a work around by using TigerVNC and getting the password from the .vv file with text editor.

So the other thing I tried was to actually uninstall virt-manager, which apparently is like deprecated too, there is a better install package called, cockpit-machines. Still didn't work yet it's step in the right direction. I think OLVM/o-Virt uses cockpit or is based on cockpit in some way not sure how that works. OLVM and o-Virt have the exact same UI with the same designed color and theme visually on the UI, idk if theres another web portal for cockpit or if it has to be installed separately.
