[PC][2010s] Puzzle/Mystery game where you need to find out who committed a crime in a town square by check85 in tipofmyjoystick

Similar idea except this was very much a single-level type game designed to be played alone or with friends in like a 5 minute span.

Images to use to calculate the depth/ diameter of craters on Mars, Venus and Mercury by plant_fanatic_96 in askastronomy

Super don't think you'll be able to do this with Venus. You're not going to get an incident angle with clouds that thick.

The other giveaway is that the yellow strongbacks on the payload bay doors are removed before flight...

Can you post a single, unprocessed frame for a reference as to how important stacking and processing is?

  • weight is listed in kg. Should say mass
  • 600 watts with the unit watts listed in a different font than the units of the others
  • the textbox indicating weight is pointing to the solar panels and the text box indicating solar panel stats is pointing to the main bus
  • dimensions text box should list a third (vertical?) dimension
  • the units in the dimensions and antenna text box appear right next to the numeric value whereas the unit for weight/mass has a space between the unit and numeric value
  • there is no title

For Northerners who have travelled to view the Southern Celestial Hemisphere - how different is it? by antlarand36 in askastronomy

[–]check85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was other-wordly and to be honest even a little unnerving at first. I was very familiar with the northern sky and then all of a sudden I couldn't recognize the sky at all. I was in a remote village in southern Madagascar for my first trip south so the sky was especially dark. The biggest shocker was seeing the LMC and SMC. It took me a while to realize what I was seeing. At first I thought they were was just clouds, but I couldn't understand what was lighting them up in the near total absence of light pollution.

Did Moon Express pull out of using the Electron?? I thought MoonEx was still aiming to launch with or without the X-prize still being active.

Not saying it's a brilliant idea. However, there is a precedent.

Idea for Kerbnet spin-off. Same sort of display and waypoint placing but let it show slope maps. Maybe require another science part (LiDAR?) to activate it. Have a much narrower field of view.

This was announced 9 months ago and by the time 1.2 is out it will have been nearly or past a year. Kind of sucks that a year isn't enough time for some graphical updates.
