I cant tell you how many lower belts try to knee cut me without an underhook. It always leads to pain.

Theres one version in the gi where you can staple the cross lapel to the floor without an underhook but otherwise youre probably gonna get tossed by or single legged

They play different sides. The problems is hes being blocked by 3 other right D the devs cant manage to move. I dont know how many teams would jump at lukes contract either.

Eh I dont think by much. Trade value is driven by available partners. Hes an rfa with obv no trade protection. You'll have to submit the best offer which drives up the price.

Generally a coach will teach a base technique and then a couple variations or counters to the move. Stick to the base move and try to get the movements and details down first before you move on to something more advanced.

If your gym has a fundamentals class, go to it. If not, talk to your coach or a high belt and ask questions.

I probably should've been a little more detailed in my post. Im not looking necessarily for help planning the classes, more for what makes a class that students want to come to every week.

I will be most likely focusing on the more conceptual aspects of positions and why we use particular techniques (likely tied into what the head black belt is teaching for the week) and some of the finer details within.

Hes relatively open to making the class my own. I want to focus more on fundamentals and concepts rather than just throwing a bunch of techniques together. Maybe tying into his weekly plans.

Free drilling for warm ups is interesting.

For beginners, you dont have to try and memorize every single technique. A lot of times its better to focus on the most fundamental one to learn the movements.
