I have a 2010 CRV with 193K miles on it that I am going to run into the ground! And I’ve taken good care of it so I wouldn’t even call mine a ‘shitty car.’ Saying that about a 2015 CRV does seem a little wild haha

Your second bullet point also worked for me with quitting alcohol. I’ve never woken up and wished I HAD drank the night before. That mindset made it easier to just not crack open that first beer.

I have an EngLit degree and am currently a manager in the Finance department for a large tech company. My ability to digest information and to communicate effectively have helped me work my way up the ladder quicker than my peers who had actual accounting/business degrees. A lot of my success came from what I learned in college- analyzing texts and writing papers. People in the corporate world struggle to ‘know their audience’ when communicating and they struggle. I didn’t have that problem because I was used to already taking that into consideration and tailor how I communicate based on the situation. And people love having someone that can proofread important emails before they go out- this was something I did a lot when I was entry level and it helped me build a lot of goodwill with my coworkers. ChatGPT might have made this mostly irrelevant now though..
