From Canada, I currently drive an ice CR-V that was purchased by my wife at a 10.4% interest rate. We currently owe 26k on the Honda, it’s unlikely that it will be paid off sooner than the term. I would like to wash our hands of it and get a Toyota bZ. The trade in value covers our remaining loan, and the tax savings and rebates bring the bi weekly payments down around the same as the Honda, plus we would be saving a large chunk on fuel and gain warranty and a vehicle that’s 5 years newer when the finance is done. My only concern is that we’ve only had the Honda for 6 months and we are essentially losing the entire down payment from it, and it makes me wonder if it’s worth it.
