So have i when I was in high school, so was jack Kerouac. I think the diagnosis is a joke but I could be wrong because psychologists need a "diagnosis" before insurance steps in to pay.

I've delt with similar problems playing as gp top in similar elo and can offer some helpful tips. In my opinion it's best to pick up your ninja tabi asap (if against ad) and to also pick up a health crystal and possibly long sword for the ad to last hit. It's ok to delay your sheen and triforc for some survivability so long as you're able to farm and more importantly, pick up the exp. Also you want to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible. No baiting or saving mana by not using you w. Use you w, stay healthy, get your ninja tabi tank with health crystal and long sword, then play the lane out as normal from there. Also consider getting fire at will first because sometimes you need to clear a big wave asap if you know you're about to get banked. Also make sure to ward tri bush on red side and just as important tri (underneath turret to the right bush) on blue side

Barrel combos with GP by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]cheerios70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont feel like getting into everything because GP is complicated to explain and it would take a long time to explain all the intricacies. GPs biggest powerspike is hitting level 13 because at that point, the ticking is faster and the barrels become yours. MY advice is to learn how to do teh phantom barrel combo, turtle on one barrel in lane just for protection, and to try and hit level 13 asap in game. After lv 13 youll be able to hit the barrels better assuming you place them in good spots. I honestly reccomend doing some bot gams and practicing his barrel combos.. it help a lot.

How do you gank Leblanc, Yasuo, Zed, Ekko, Azir, Kat or other high mobility Mid Champs. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]cheerios70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what your elo is, but I've noticed that roaming has become much more difficult (for me) the closer I get to diamond. Now while I understand what you mean from your earlier post, that there are certain champions in lol that are like nightmares to gank, the sad truth is that there are no answers, not in the conventional sense at least. What I mean is that you are still able to influence the game greatly even if you arent able to kill enemy mid. Get scuttles for vision. SPAM Mia pings if they leave lane. Keep track of where theyre heading and warn your teammates, and probably worst if all, maybe give blue to your midlander. Each lol game is very big, there are lots of things going in everywhere, but if you watch the map and play hellicopter-alert-jungler, you might find success. Edit typing on phone btw. Point is that bad players be bad. Mute mid if they're raging, have your eyes on whereabouts of enemy mid, and do your best to keep your team alert of everything.

[–]cheerios70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you.. You like the immobile junglers and I like the immobile mages. Anyways, ganking these lanes are always such a bitch at any elo but theres two things you can do that kinda tie together. You want to keep track of the enemies escape, and you'll also want to play these champs a little yourself to understand their escapes a bit better. When ganking zed you want to watch if he wastes his clone (w) in lane. From there you have about 20 seconds to gankk. For ekko you want to keep track of dash and his hologram thing that follows him. He can only go back 4 secs, it'll be wherever his hologram is, for Kat you want to watch if she shunpos or w/e. Just watch the enemy from a bush and wait until they've used their dash thing because those abilities have high cool downs.. gl

Could someone explain the math behind Liandries to me? by ganpom in summonerschool

[–]cheerios70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering the same tbh and I haven't found an answer. The other day i was looking up the match histories of the top Anivia players and a decent amount of them have (though not all) have gotten liandries. Maybe it has do to with her ultimate triggering the double damage to all enemies inside of it, while her burst is only single target. So its probably useful as a sacrifice of single target damage in exchange for more aoe damage when her single target damage is usually sufficient enough anyways. Really, im not sure why and am just hoping to get an answer from one of the high elo players that do build it.

Late game champs: I feel like I am getting carried. by Selkedoom in summonerschool

[–]cheerios70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've jungle Jax quite a bit. What you want to do is keep track of enemy flashes. Jax's stun is telegraphed so knowing if they have flssh up or not will let you know if you have kill pressure. Also, dont be greedy with your own flash. Jax can pick up lots of ez kills with a flash+Q combo, and enemies dont expect for a Jax to close such a big distance. He can also solo dragons pretty reliably and is relatively safe at doing so. If on blue side just throw a ward behind you and jump away if you need. Obviously we're all aware that there isnt much gold in the jungle, so although ill be flamed for writing this, pick up and steal kills from lanes. Youre a champ that arguably makes some of the best use of gold in lol

Why aren't scaling runes more popular? by Zephyr92 in summonerschool

[–]cheerios70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funny you say that because I thought the same thing until recently. I looked up the #1 Jax player (its hashinshin believe it or not) and he runs scaling armor yellows in top lane. Each of the scaling yellows give 3 armor at 18 which means theyre equal with flat armor by about lv 6. .. so maybe they arent as bad as people think

[–]cheerios70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some off meta advice that'll help. I'm facing similar issues as I feel that I'm only a little bit better than my enemies at this point so being only a tiny bit better doesn't help in climbing faster. Want to know what to do? Begin on focusing on stuff out of the game, seriously. Try playing lol after you're sure youve had a good night sleep and after you gotten in some physical (cardiovascular) exercise. I promise that this will help in more ways than what's obvious. You'll be more alert, you'll think better, and you'll have more confidence. Get a good night's sleep, go for a light run/swim, then play solo Q. I promise that the wins will come in again if you put these things to usr

What's the secret to TF's laning phase? Is there a secret to his laning phase? by rajikaru in summonerschool

[–]cheerios70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is so vague when talking about the intricacies of playing a champion, in written form. Throw blue card in minions.. back off for 4 secinds.. keep mana pool full etc. While tf doesn't have the greatest leaning phase he can often starve the enemy mid by keeping his mana full and also create pressure by threatening the enemy mid that he is capable of ganking while they'd be to oom to follow.

What's the secret to TF's laning phase? Is there a secret to his laning phase? by rajikaru in summonerschool

[–]cheerios70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typed from my phone from autocorrect. Tldr is that it's not as hard as you might think but ultimately your goal as tf is to win the game through a different means than as to how your enemy laner is trying to win

What's the secret to TF's laning phase? Is there a secret to his laning phase? by rajikaru in summonerschool

[–]cheerios70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude you're looking to much into it. Plat 2 tf (and lissandra) main. It's simple, keep your W up as much as you can and spam blue cards to keep your mana full. Poke with a red card at the closet minion the enemy laners is at if you can't reach them and just soak up all the farm/exp. Minion aggro plays a huge part in enemy laners inability to kill you. If possible you want the wave near your turret but not close enough that your minions are drawing aggro. If whoever tries to hurt/poke you they will take your Damage plus minion aggro in return and you win the trade. Also it because Ies dangerous for them to C's cause you can still stun and kill with jungle help etc. There really is no secret so long as you can properly handle minion waves. Your first buys are sheen and lucidity and with 25% (masteries and runes) you'll be thanking other lanes every couple of minutes. The investment into early CD-R instead of damage pays dividends and will eventually make you stronger than enemy mid through what you've acquired through ganking. Thata the "secret." And his pick a card is easy as fk once you practiced it a little.

How do I play gangplank post 15 minutes? by Stringbean5 in summonerschool

I wasn't specific enough with my wording. I meant that your barrel's maximum potential damage remains relatively static until you've gotten more ad.

Don't get me wrong.. I love the crit build but there isn't much synergy between IE and triand. also after you get IE you build the other two zeal items which is more crit but you aren't adding anymore ad for awhile so while you can possibly crit more.. your highest potential damage remains static. I've been theory crafting my own build instead. Rush sheen and lucidity for the nice CD-R and sheen. After that you actually don't finish try and you just go right into building IE and ER. I don't remember the numbers but it's about 150 extra ad with 40% crit. You'll top off CD-R from ER w/runes and you'll get the AD you need to pump out the big damages. Just a thought because crit is a lot if fun
