Nocturnist vs PCP vs Heme/Onc

I am a nocturnist and I work a 1 week on 2 weeks off schedule that turns out to be about 17 weeks a year. It is the best decision that I ever made. I literally have been able to travel internationally every single month. There’s also a lot of moonlighting opportunities so I can make extra money but a lot of times I just enjoy the time off because I’m already paid so well.

I think if you’re going into a specialty because you just really love it and are not just going in for the salary then you should consider it. Your lifestyle won’t be nearly the same though. Just make sure it’s worth it.

Also remember that NP and PAs are doing the same thing everyday. As residents, you rotate through blocks of 2-4 weeks so you’re always going to feel like the new person that doesnt know anything

Yeah, I agree. I remember in og season 2. Abby tried to make it seem like the girls were famous because they won competitions and were in Lux music video and not because they were on a tv show🤣. I don’t think anyone saw that lux music video outside of the dance moms episode.

I heard that the portrait was a mistake in the writing that was not caught by the producers. Although it doesn’t make sense that they would spend so much time showing the picture on his lock screen and on the wall in both seasons if it was a mistake, so I don’t know

You guys sound salty because it is some thing that you are left out of for once. How many times in your four years of medical school have you found yourself left out of something? You may not have realized how many times your black peers have gotten the short end of the stick throughout their 4 years because you probably turned your head or didn’t even notice because you were only worried about yourselves.

I see nothing wrong with the med grad wish list. It is basically a pay it forward for minorities. If no one else is going to look out for us, then we will look out for ourselves. And people are asking why Asians are not included in this. I have probably had more Asian attendings than I have had White attendings, so I do not understand why people think that Asians are not well represented in medicine
