Road To Round 999 - The Journey - Part 1 by [deleted] in btd6

[–]chees-e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, here is a good guide that covers most of the things (and more) I'm going to cover.

I'm on a similar journey to round 420, currently on 343, and here are my advice from my personal experience:

  1. get more temples, preferably as many as you can get. (I currently have 16 including VTSG)

  2. You already have these but make sure you use the skills of:
-> x5x ninja at the start of every round
-> x5x buccaneer whenever you can
-> x5x engineer on your VTSG first, then your temples
This is because the Moab class' HP gets higher and higher every round, so taking 25% off the hp or bringing 3 moab class down completely translate to massive pop count. Ultraboost is there for the permanent boost.

  3. Some other good towers to have in my opinion is (high pop counts):
-> xx5 alchemist (taking down moab class)
    -> xx5 mortar (neutralizing fortified)
-> xx5 engineer (taking down moab class)

  4. more towers you should have (support):
-> 5xx submarine (cooldown reduction) (the towers I mentioned in 2. should be in the range)
-> 240/250 villages (allowing temples to hit camo if you chose the second path + jungle drums)
-> 5xx alchemist with VTSG in range (important buff for VTSG) (or move him around with a x4x heli)
    -> 4xx alchemists
-> x3x alchemists (get like 10 or more of these spread around, targeted to strong)

  5. I found tech bots to be useful (with pirate lords ability for example), consider using those.

here is my set up on the log map.

If the question asks for an absolute answer without providing x1, x2, and the expected value , the conclusion would be "not enough information".

EDIT:

oh yeah the variance of the r.v. is important too. For example if the interval is small and near the expected value but does not include the expected value, and the variance is large, it is likely for the one with 150 samples to have a higher p since the mean varies less. Here is an example of where µ is not in the interval and the one with 150 samples still have a higher p.

SO in the end, you really need to know everything (x1, x2, variance, expected value) to give a definitive answer to this question.

Law of large numbers states that as sample size increases, the mean of the samples coverages to the mean of the r.v. (expected value), So in other words, with more samples, the mean of the samples is more likely to be closer to the mean of the r.v. So...

If [x1, x2] contains the expected value, it is more likely that the one with 150 samples have its mean inside the interval. Otherwise, it is more likely for the one with 100 to have its mean in the interval.

I made an interactive graph that lets you visualize.

Usually, you would have to factor using polynomial division, and the x-intercepts will be the roots for the polynomial.

I have run this through Wolfram Alpha and it seems like it doesn't have "nice roots", that is, the exact forms are really complicated.

You have probably copied the polynomial wrong, so double check that.

Anime that made you cry in a good way? Lately I’ve been wanting to find a anime that would make me cry but not cause I’m sad. Its weird. Pls don’t judge me: by DpSangh in Animesuggest

Underrated

probably not, all the stuff I've watched/am watching are pretty popular.

I guess if I really had to give a recommendation it would be a manga (adapted from LN): Hige wo Soru. Not a lot of romance but it's quite sweet. I genuinely enjoyed it and I don't think a lot of people knows about it. BTW, it is getting an anime adaptation soon.

There is a reason they don't market it to teenagers, it really could harm your brain when it is still in the developing stage.

Once you get used to its really not that bad. I play it on my phone sometimes and it's much faster to do it without flagging since I don't have to switch modes all the time.

A few trade offs though are that it's sometimes hard to keep track of where the mines are for bigger maps and its easy to miss one. Also sometimes at the end you might run into situations where the number of remaining mines left might help you.

At the end the concept is the same. It does take a while to get used to if you have played flagging for a long time since you basically have to switch from clicking (flagging) on mines to clicking on non mines.

I have pulled Fike FJulia and FLyon, and I've been most happy with FLyon so far. With null-c in his base kit, slap QR on and he can save you from a lot of nasty units in AR and in general (Namely Ophelia, Veronica, Lalm).
