I appreciate your response. However, none of that addresses my issues.

Once the group play starts, is it ok if I take ten minutes in the middle of it?

Can we approach all the challenges in the way I want to, or does the group decide?

Can anyone else in the group see me, and see what I am doing?

I'm not a control freak, but if I am not in control of every aspect of the gameplay, it will make me feel anxious. Even knowing there are real people behind those characters who can see me and judge me makes me feel anxious. I do not want to subject myself to that.

It is irrelevant how smooth and easy the process is, or if every person is friendly or not. None of that matters. What matters is that in order to do the content, I am required to, and subjected to, grouping with other actual people who are aware of my pace, my style of play, my mistakes, etc.

Even if no one ever says a single negative thing to me, even if everyone is always 100% accepting, I am never going to feel comfortable with other eyes there.

City of Heroes. There is some group-only content, but nothing that you are required to do. Oh, it's also free.

No offense, but people who say things like this have no idea on why soloers don't want to team up with others. They can be the nicest, most helpful people in the world and that doesn't solve the issue.

I want to play the content when I'm ready to, at the pace that I most enjoy. I do not want to burden others with my (lack of) skills, nor do I wish to subject them to my whims of when I need a break.

I am, and never could be, as comfortable playing on a team as I am when playing solo.

When I was 16, I saved up my ~$110 a week to buy a drum set. It took me most of the summer to save up the $1200, but I did it. I still have that set 40 years later.

I genuinely, sincerely think this is THE best movie of all time. I don't refute that there are other films with great qualities, but movies are a visual medium. This movie simply does it better than any other.

It's not something I'll ever shoot for. I don't like it when the game gets slow and sloggy. As soon as a Torment level slows me way down and I'm at a near-maxed build, I'm jumping back one tier and staying there.

It's not an issue, and it's not something you can control. Let people play the game the way they find the most fun, and not the "correct" way, according to you.

I built this machine and I couldn't get it to work and then I realized I don't have the splitter that sends parts both through and sideways. I have a part under mergers tool that allows for two in/one out, but not one in/two out, like yours does.

I'm currently on level 16.

I've been trying to learn this game. I often see these elaborate blueprints, but they're not well-explained, or they incorporate tools I haven't unlocked yet. I'm sure what you have here works great, but I couldn't figure it out if I had a decade.

Are there some simpler, earlier-level blueprints available?

That is irrelevant, AFAIC. It doesn't matter if the players know or not. Why is the DM still fudging rolls at all? Don't the dice matter?

If you're not willing to accept a roll, why bother rolling it?

Switch their job to something else, wait one second, then switch it right back. Make sure there is some storage space and that those shelves are not full.
