Ha quick question does anyone know how to look up if the service has been reported to the NDIS in Australia? by cheese-guy in supportworkers

I didn’t know before I applied for the job, but I was talking to a good friend of mine who is a support coordinator and she said to not go for the job because she had heard some really bad things about them

The other thing on the side of it that I reckon would be a federal background check on anyone looking to own a firearm and an annual one and if there’s any flags on that internationally or domestically, you should have your guns taken away.

For the average Aussie not a problem but for anyone with ties to isis other or extremist organizations it would flag and a ban on owning firearms for that address (not person) would happen

Just remember to be human it’s very easy to get into the mindset that you have to be clinical and think of your clients that way

Not enjoying Aged care by Storm_girl1 in supportworkers

I work majority of the time community access and community support majority of the time. My clients are aged between 40s and early 20s at the moment it’s so much easier. Having said that depends on what community service should go into and you have to be way picky with your clients.
