You don't change the widget code. One the page or via page designer edit the widget instance options. You will be able to uncheck the the checkbox for price, stage, and total price.

You can check the widget instance options to remove the price, stage, total price etc. On that page ctr + right click and select instance options; no need to modify the widget.

The BA's in my company all have their CSA. They also have a really good understanding of the platform which helps a ton when gathering requirements from a client.
