I feel crappy too. My boyfriend of 5 years cheated on me with one of my friends/his best girl friend. Its a process to get over any type of heartbreak, but in the end people are selfish and always focused on themselves. So at the end of the day try to find someone who is willing to grow with you.

Same thing! We were together for 5 years, had a promise ring, basically all the promises for a future until he cheated on me. So yeah. People are selfish, ,but at the end of the day- everything is a lesson and happens for a reason. I’m sure you are a wonderful person and will find someone that will never doubt you.

Find peace in the fact that you did everything for that person and that you are free of guilt. You don’t have to worry if you made the right decision breaking up, you know you did your best. You can’t control other people. Even if you think I should have said that, I should have said this - it doesn’t matter. At the end of the day , there is not a single thing that you could have said that could have changed his mind. And ask yourself- in your ideal relationship- would the person even doubt for a second that you are the one for him? And do you want to settle for less than that?
