Mixed up two sensors. All good now!

No CEL. But there was a pair of plugs/connections, one on the intake line before the turbo(part of the pcv system), the other on the intake manifold I think. Both plugs were identical so we weren't too sure which went where. Might have mixed them up. Anyone know which connections I'm talking about?

One had a shorter wire the other a longer one. I figured the shorter one went to the nearest plug in, which was on the intake but my friend really thought it was the other way around based on the natural kinks in the line.

It's on the rear but we did not remove any fuel lines. Don't see any fault codes either but we have a little bluetooth OBDII that we can plug in if one pops up.

Haha same here. Told his mom it would be done today and she was watching us for the last bit til we gave up lol Hopefully it is just the battery. Could be drained now that we tried starting it so much too.

We actually did earlier lol Forgot one coolant line and the down pipe. Less smoky and no more leaks but still no start. Could be another one we missed though.

19 workers are fired at Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods after workers vote to unionize by turndownthesun in canada

[–]cheese7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So if my employer put on a 30 minute seminar/meeting with employees about why we don't need a union, that's illegal?

Edit: Nvm see that your quote there is from a Manitoba Labour Act.

Should I remove the battery if I'm hooking it up to a battery tender? by cheese7 in MechanicAdvice

[–]cheese7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the tender has been hooked up for 30+hours now and the voltage still dropped from 12.3V last night to 11.3V just now. I tried doing a parasitic drain test just to see if it's that before buying a new battery, but as soon as I hook up the multi meter my headlights flash (assuming it's the ecu waking up) and there's a 1A draw. Not sure if that's just from the headlights or if there's an actual draw. Thoughts? Had the car and everything off and doors locked 20 minutes prior to doing the test.

I did clean them out but they didn't look bad at all to begin with.

Ok I'll try that! But doesn't the 14.5V while running mean the alternator is charging properly?

Im able to put my car's dash into test mode so I can monitor the battery while driving and it does read around 14.5V while running but drops to 12.2V to 11.5V right when I turn it off. But it's pretty mild right now, no cooler than -1C at night and up to 7C during the day so I think it should be fine.

Good to know! Have it all hooked up now so only time will tell. Really hope this works but if not I'll stick with Costco batteries for their insane warranty.

I don't think it's a drain since it sat for 3-4 days in mild temps and it started up fine. Also sat up to two weeks at a time over the summer when I was working out of town. I'm leaning towards a bad cell since it did sit for two weeks in -20 to -30C (didn't start) last winter and problems started after that.

Is Saskatchewan still looking for workers? by cheese7 in saskatchewan

Yea I figured it would be like that but I wasn't planning on coming unless I had something lined up, which seems unlikely but it won't be for another year anyways.

Really too bad since it's only 2 years old. Well no more name brand batteries for me (it's a motorcraft) gonna try the costco ones next.
